In the control room of Studio Two from 9-10pm three mono mixes of ‘When I’m Sixty-Four’ were made. The last of these was judged to be the best, although it was not included on the Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album.

The night’s work was complete with more work on ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’. John Lennon re-recorded his lead vocals onto track three, accompanied by snare drum and occasional piano. This was done between 10pm and 11.45pm.
