Wings performed a version of ‘Go Now’ during their Wings Over The World Tour in 1975-6.
The song was written by Larry Banks and Milton Bennett, and first recorded by Bessie Banks. Her version was issued as a single in 1964, and shortly afterwards it became a worldwide hit single for The Moody Blues. It topped the singles chart in the UK, and also appeared on their album The Magnificent Moodies.
Denny Laine sang lead vocals on The Moody Blues’ version, as he did when Wings performed it.
A recording from the final Wings Over The World Tour date, on 23 June 1976, at the Forum in Los Angeles, can be heard on the live album Wings Over America.
