I Me Mine

The song shows Harrison moving into a funk/R&B style. Billy Preston contributed electric piano, and the rhythm section – Willie Weeks and Andy Newmark, on bass and drums respectively – had recently performed on David Bowie’s Young Americans album.

Harrison performed ‘Māya Love’ throughout his 1974 tour of North America, although no recording of it has yet been released.

The album version was the b-side of Harrison’s 1975 single ‘This Guitar (Can’t Keep From Crying)’, the final release by Apple Records in the 1970s.
