Beatle people

Here you’ll find links to profiles of key people involved in The Beatles’ story, from the members of the band through to their wives and girlfriends, friends, colleagues and collaborators.

It isn’t a comprehensive list, and nor could it ever be – far too many people made an impact upon the group’s history. However, we hope to add more profiles in the near future.

  1. Hi Everyone, I have a good friend named Raymond Jones Jr. His Father is from Liverpool named the same Raymond Jones. They live in Connecticut USA. Is there any connection here at all?

    Best, RC

  2. Not a person directly involved with the Beatles, but thought this should be noted somewhere here…….
Neil Innes (Nasty of the Rutles and the songwriter) passed away yesterday, Dec. 29, 2019.

  3. In my opinion this is the best site about the Beatles. Amazing work.
If I can add something, here are some of my suggestions for “Beatle people” page: Richard Lester, Michael Lindsay-Hogg, Tony Barrow, Alf Bicknell, Chris Thomas, Glyn Johns.

  4. Delbert McClinton. Taught John some of the tricks of playing harmonica/harp/mouth organ. John and Delbert met when the Beatles opened for Bruce Chanell. Delbert played harmonica on Chanell’s hit, “Hey! Baby”. Listen to the earliest takes of Love Me Do and compare them to the finished product. Lennon met McClinton in between. Delbert has always downplayed what he taught John, but there is a remarkable improvement with the later takes.

  5. How about pictures of all the recording engineers The Beatles worked with? Possible names include: Phil McDonald, Richard Lush, Ken Scott, Richard Langham, Malcolm Davies, Dave Harries, Ken Townshend, Alan Parsons, Glyn Johns and Harry Moss to name but a few.
Also, who is the red-haired assistant seen in Let It Be moving the piano with Mal Evans in the very first scene and also seen holding a clip-board up to John Lennon while performing ‘Dig A Pony’ during the rooftop concert? Is he an EMI employee or an Apple intern?
Been bugging me for years lol.
