While his body is clearly weakening in this picture his soul is soon to be free. Free of reincarnation, free from the long cycle of untying knots. He was surely able to free his soul from his body at his time of death and move into the universe. Fly in peace and freedom George.
You must realize that George was still in the trappings of the human body, possibly and more than likely suffering with the pain that cancer causes. I would think that it’s hard to smile through that. Or look “more at peace”. From what I’ve read from friends, etc., that visited him in his last days, he WAS at peace.
Unfortunately George’s last picture of him taken before his death. You can tell that he doesn’t look that great. Rest In Peace George.

For someone that spiritual though, it is sad t hat he did not look happier or more at peace.
