In early 1964, a bunch of smaller record labels attempted to cash in on Beatlemania in the U.S. by throwing some studio musicians together and having them fire off these less-than-inspired renditions. After all, the “bug music” was all the same noise to the parents, so why blow money on the pricier Beatles album when this was “just as good” for your kids?

I love how wonderfully disingenuous these, and so many other ripoffs, were.
These were littering the bins at your local discount department stores, just waiting for clueless grandparents to pick up as unwanted Birthday and Christmas presents.

Actually, the “She Loves You ” cover is pretty hilarious in that “So bad it’s good” way.
The other two, though… yeah, they’re bad.
