You can recite the lyrics to three or more of their songs…a-hard-days-night-ringo-13

"Hoop? That isn't a hoop, It's a lethal weapon, have you got a license for it?" -Ringo

Wow mith – I remember that video from the 80's (back when the “M” in MTV actually stood for Music) but never caught Victor Spinetti in it. Nice!

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

Today I was reading something, and it said that by 2020, there could be technology that would make it possible for the voices of well known singers to “sing” songs they had never sung. They suggested that this could be used to make John Lennon sing Maybe I'm Amazed, and for the Beatles to keep releasing new songs. Why would you want John singing Maybe I'm Amazed? Paul wrote it, Paul would have sung it. At most, John would have provided backing vocals. Besides, I don't think people long for the Beatles because of their voices per say, but because of the quality of their songs. Would having Paul and George's backing vocals on Imagine really make it a better track?

So, YKYAHCBFW the thought of John singing Maybe I'm Amazed annoys you enough to write a diatribe on the internet.

I told her I didn’t

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 Having John singing Maybe I'm Amazed is a truly bad idea. I dunno. I can't picture John singing a song so Paul-ish. a-hard-days-night-ringo-7

Now backing vocals in Imagine …. naw neither. That song is waaay too John. It could work though. We have Free As A Bird and Real Love a-hard-days-night-paul-10

Anyway I can see Yoko and Paul's lawyers trying to stop that.

That’s pretty cool. I must agree that I wouldn’t want his voice just for the sake of having his voice, though. I want *him* back so he can write more songs! Same with the Beatles as a whole.

You know that you are a hardcore Beatles fan when you get kicked out of English for yelling at your teacher for saying John's better than Paul, because he wrote all the good Beatles songs; like Yesterday , Hey Jude Here Comes The Sun , Come Together Let It Be , I Want To Hold Your Hand , I Am The Walrus and Imagine !paul-mccartney

Omg, that would spark such a debate! Wait , what was your teacher saying to bring this on?

I bet that afterwards, you were out in the hall humming John’s Beatle songs to yourself to cheer up, huh? 🙂

I'm sorry I'm laughing at this, but I don't think I could handle such ignorance, either!

Oh my gosh. I would've done the same thing if someone said that. That is hilarious and dissapointing all at the same time. :”D

Oh crapola, how did I not realize what I missed … I was focused on the whole John-is-better-than-Paul issue and not the part about who actually wrote those songs! *Facepalm*

You were in Wal-Mart. Odds are no one noticed.

If I haven't said it yet, welcome to the Forum. I like your screen name's combo of Ringo and gregarious. At least that's how I intepret it.

I never thought of it as a mix of those two words, but now I see it. Ingenious!

Yeah, maybe three people looked over, but mostly everybody ignored me.

That happens to me all the time. Not the Wal-Mart bit (I don't go there), but the singing/dancing in the store.

EDIT: I didn't want to double post, so…

Me: What was Ringo's real name?
Bungalow Jill: Richard Starkey.
Me: Wrong. Richard Starkey, Jr.

If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

True. A kid singing to himself was probably the most normal thing to happen there that day.
