Ihope I'm not derailing this thread — oh hell, I bet that ship's already sailed anyways — but this board has been really a real welcome addition to my life. I think it's a given that most people like the Beatles, but there seem to be those in the minority who either really love them and also those who can't stand them.
I think this forum has given me some legs to stand on as someone who doesn't simply like their music (as 75% of the world's population do — by the way, I made that figure up ) but as someone pretty much obsessed (in a pink and fluffy way, of course) with them. They've been coming up more in my daily conversations with co-workers and potential dates, anyways.
Should this go in the Valentine's thread?
I just wanted to put that out there.
Same here. This board has become a part of my daily routine, I check it every day. I am so happy that I can FINALLY talk to people about them, because most of the people I know have no clue who they are.

How could someone not know who The Beatles are?! A lot of people I know don't care for them but they know they are the greatest thing the happen to music in the history of music (I'm taking a college course on the history of music). I never let them forget their importance to the world!
Btw, Nigel the good dog, I'm glad you volunteered to get some tissues for George's guitar. It's a dirty job but someone's gotta do it!

I was wondering the same thing when they asked me the question, because there is Beatles stuff EVERYWHERE where I live. I felt my heart get jabbed with an invisible knife when they said it, and then I lectured them about their signifigance and they never asked me that question again.
And his guitar needed tissues for a LONG TIME, it really needed them. 🙂

Being a Beatles fan gets lonely. No one ever wants to play Beatles RockBand with me. No one knows the songs enough to enjoy the game.
If it makes you feel any better Let's Just Pretend We Can't See Her Face (that was super long to type out), I will definitely play with you. I've been wanting that game and Beatles Monopoly for the ever longest.
Well we all shine on like the moon, the stars, and the sun.

Man, over Christmas I got to play Beatles Rock Band for like 20 minutes before it was switched over to Rock Band 3. I couldn't really hide my disappointment. Another friend of mine keeps telling me to buy it, (Rock Band in general) but it seems kind of sad I'd be the only one playing it (my cat prefers easy listening, apparently. And he has no thumbs.). I know you can play remotely but it doesn't seem like it'd be the same.
Anyways, for what it's worth, I'd play Beatles Trivial Pursuit* and Beatles Rock Band with you if I could.
*I actually won that game (the regular one) over Christmas with a questuon asking who put together the Concert for Bangladesh.

OMG I own at playing Imagine on piano (on Easy) on Rock Band 3. Then again I'm still the only one playing
and high five for you for winning Trivia Pursuit with an epic question.

Ah, I can't even do well with that new keyboard thing. I'm good on bass, good on drums, better than both singing, and meh with the guitar. But that keyboard thing is ridiculous. 🙂

It's a great idea, but you should know by now, even though you've been here maybe about a week, that it'll get seriously derailed soon after. We'll probably end up talking about I Love Lucy and theories of relativity.

Not I Love Lucy. Probably Either The Dick Van Dyke Show or The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

On this thread? I don't know… my mind is still upset that Justin Biber was talked about on Beatley moments thread….. I might have to take a moment from this forum after that. I couldn't even look at the thread anymore.
It's not *9 or *17 but *10 definitely agrees with me that it's a sad day at the Fab Forum
can't resist this forum for long so look for Beatles Trivial Pursuit on Beatles Trivia Questions thread

… you go downstairs and the first thing you do is to play Here Comes The Sun when finally there's Sun after 5 days of historic low temperatures.
I remember now why I love this song that much. Nobody like George to describe the joy of a sunny day after crappy Winter ones.
Here comes the sun….. Scoobie-doobie……
Something in the way she moves…..attracts me like a cauliflower…
Bop. Bop, cat bop. Go, Johnny, Go.
