Yeah Prudence, it takes A LOT to convince somebody, but if they listen to that stuff (WTF Insane Clown Posse? Really?)  it is even more difficult. I am trying to do that right now with my best friend, but like I said before it takes a lot of work.

ICP is literally just screaming and talking, not music. But in today's definition of music it does apply. Make me sick :/

You know you're a Beatles fan when your “friends” try to connivence you that The Beatles are terrible just to see how upset they can get you, you know they do this on purpose, yet it always works. a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

You really can't call anything or anyone “famous” and manage to keep a straight face.

…you actually own a copy of Two Virgins two-virgins

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

StarWisher: Are you referring to that scene in “Help !” with the tiger?

I'm referring to a number of scenes with the Inspector, but yeah, in the tiger scene (the famous Raja who escaped from the famous London Zoo) I pretty much fell off the chair with John's “So he famous is!”

Let me know if it's in this part. You'll get it if it is.

You are designated “someobody obsessed with the Beatles” by your peers.

That is so true. Once in music class we were doing trivia, and my teacher warned us that a couple of old songs would be on the playlist. Let It Be Starts playing, and I have my entire class turn towards me. I single-handedly won us that game, as well

Yeah, me too! If there is any sort of Beatles reference in talk or at least an oppurtunity to put one in I always have to notice :). Only one of my friends gets it, so we are the only ones laughing.

Something similar happened to me, actually. We were doing a thing called Brain Busters in English a couple of years ago, and a question came up that was “In which famous studio did the Beatles record their 1962 hit single Love Me Do ?” Everyone turned to me.

Brain Busters! Man, that game was awesome. I remember when I made up the questions, and about half of them were about the Beatles. I thought no-one would know them, then you just knew the answers to all of them straight away..that was before I knew you liked them though.

I'd like to be, under the sea, in an octopus's garden, with you.

Ihope I'm not derailing this thread — oh hell, I bet that ship's already sailed anyways — but this board has been really a real welcome addition to my life. I think it's a given that most people like the Beatles, but there seem to be those in the minority who either really love them apple01and also those who can't stand them. blue-meanie

I think this forum has given me some legs to stand on as someone who doesn't simply like their music (as 75% of the world's population do — by the way, I made that figure up a-hard-days-night-george-10 ) but as someone pretty much obsessed (in a pink and fluffy way, of course) with them. They've been coming up more in my daily conversations with co-workers and potential dates, anyways. stuart-sutcliffe

Should this go in the Valentine's thread?a-hard-days-night-paul-6

I just wanted to put that out there.
