Offline When you listen to a non Beatles song and feel bad for doing so. I’m mostly a Beatles/solo career exclusive listener and I’ve been that way for years. That’s how I know I’m a hardcore Beatles fan. I only need to hear one second from any Beatles song to know what it is.

That’s how I used to be for a while… then I slowly started branching out, and I’ve had no regrets. I make sure to still love the Beatles, of course, but more love is always good.

Offline I disagree. The early stereo mixes, although they are pretty bad, have that attraction because they are mixed so badly – it’s so classically a 60s stereo mix.

Offline I spent too much time yesterday listening to each Mono mix, then the 2014 mono remaster, and then some of the 2003 mono remasters. In my opinion, the original mono mixes are superior to the 2014 mixes.

The 2009 mono (and stereo) mixes were a digital remaster, @Little Piggy Dragonguy, done almost exclusively using digital copies of the masters; when doing the remaster for the 2014 vinyl mono remasters, they returned to the original analogue tapes and did a completely analogue remaster, nothing digital was used.
Myself, I prefer the 2014 analogue monos to the 2009 digital.

Offline I guess I don’t see the appeal but I understand why if it’s for the novelty or preference. I just think the Mono mixes are a lot punchier and are what the Beatles intended (aside from later albums)
