I wrote a poem and three Beatley phrases slipped in without my even trying.
…And I left them, naturally

If the mods were flawless, I wouldn’t have this nasty head cold. Great souvenir I brought home from Europe. We should get back on topic.
Hey, @Ahhh Girl, I am in Positano, Italy this week and also suffering from a cold I picked up last week in Greece. Where were you? (Sorry, this is too important to stay on topic)

I sure wish I could travel like you, I don’t have a passport and have never flown in a plane, I bet it’s fun going all these places, especially considering there’s people like Ron Nasty that you already know who can help you around the area.

That is some ambitious itinerary! At least you got most of it in before you got what seems to be the almost inevitable souvenir of modern travel –some kind of health bug. Hope you get better soon!

I meant to say this earlier, @georgiewood. Mom and I went to Greece and Italy in 2014 for 3 weeks. We spent lots of time in Rome, Florence, Venice. We also went to Milan and Pisa as day trips. Ohhh Boy isn’t keen on art museums, so when we went this year, we only took time for the big highlights. All 3 of us had been to Paris and London, so we had done a lot of the big sites. We took time to see things we hadn’t seen before. So, the itinerary for that trip looks more ambitious than it really was. We have done more on trips.
Ohhh Boy saw the Roman Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, The Last Supper, David, the Doge’ s Palace, the Grand Canal (and took a gondola ride), Bletchley Park, and Dover Castle. Surprisingly, what he liked the most was Monet’s Garden. He came home and planted flowers.

Sounds fantastic! By chance, my wife and I just returned from a three week trip to Greece and Italy. In 1986, I toured Giverny as well. Just to illustrate the power of music, I can recall so vividly when driving from Paris to Giverny that Annie Lennox’ No More I Love Yous was playing on the radio. Geez, can she ever sing! I love that song, especially the unique introduction. Not only did I have the song in my head the whole day, but I can never think about Monet or Giverny without the song as a sound track.
