Yeah, because somebody having different opinions than you is a good reason to hate them.Being a Beatles fan doesn’t make you better than anybody else.
I understand that. I just said it as a “no need to continue with the subject” phrase.
Anybody else know when you’re a hardcore Beatles fan?
By hook or by crook, I'll be last in this book.

You often find yourself singing ad libs from the Anthology versions to songs when they come on the radio, like this one.

…CBC-TV has been advertising something called the “Beetle Road Trip”, and everytime the commercial airs, you instinctively drop what you’re doing and look up at the TV when the announcer utters that word (happened to me three times in as many days!)
I don’t know ’cause I don’t watch CBC-TV!
You’re not Canadian are you? (sorry if you’ve disclosed this info before; too lazy to search)
Uh, let’s see…you know you’re hardcore when you scoff loudly at the news that Capitol is releasing all those silly American albums on CD, but you still make sure to feast your eyes upon them as soon as you visit the record store. And kinda love that they’re there, like some ugly shaggy smelly dog with a missing eye or something.
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Song selection, fewer songs, ugly album cover art, a perversion of the band’s original intentions, horrible “Duosound” (I’m not sure if they kept this but I’m on a roll here) – it’s all a rich tapestry of FAIL! But there are threads devoted to it so I won’t go on. (I do understand how some people want the James Bond-intro-d “Ticket To Ride “, or want CD versions of the albums they used to own, of course…)
YKYAHCBF when…uh, you join a message board to discuss all this trivial stuff that normal folks don’t care about!
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Now that makes total sense! If it sounds like crap, there’s a good reason to hate it. I know some people like buying them to recount the Capitol records they bought in the 60s, but it is a good reason to hate them. I’m not sure that EMI should have bought Capitol. Maybe that’s a reason EMI stands for “Every Mistake Imaginable”! (A vintage first-state copy of the album Yesterday …And Today will get you a lot of money but that was because of the cover, not that Capitol had anything to do with it!)

…you don’t know whether to laugh or cry when you hear a Beatles song in Muzak form.
It happened twice over the weekend in my favorite diner.

‘Revolution 9 ‘ and ‘You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)’.
Actually, I don’t remember. It was too painful.
