I love Rock Lobster! I just learnt to play the guitar riff on the piano yesterday. I guess there are some things that sound similar to Yoko’s shrieking, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they got it from her. Yoko’s shrieking always sounded improvised rather than part of a tune. I got Live Peace In Toronto on DVD for Christmas and you’re right, Yoko does ruin it. It was great until Yoko’s songs (which sounded very similar). They had to end on a low note… or rather a very, very high note.
Well it would have taken some serious effort to ruin a performance by John Lennon , Eric Clapton, Klaus Voorman and Alan White, but Yoko gave it her best shot! Unfortunately for her the other four were just too talented…

Here is my feelings on Yoko Ono, hope to not offend anyone. I would say I’m middle road on how I feel. Yoko is a great women who does great charitable work. And no, she did not break up The Beatles, it was a combination of things, and Yoko was just a factor. I do not like hearing Yoko sing, and as far as looks go, Cynthia Powell is much prettier than Yoko Ono was. John was the one that had to put up with her, and as long as he was happy with Yoko, that is what matters, Maybe John and Cynthia did not get a long. Proves it isn’t all about looks, and that it is more about the personality when it comes to a spouse.

I think John was just bored with Cynthia; she was a very nice lady and they lived in a very nice house in the suburbs which was, well, very nice. But John wanted some excitment in his life, and Yoko was it. She was very cutting edge and pushed John to the limit. I don’t think she broke up the Beatles, but I would say she was the biggest factor in their demise. John was unquestionably the leader, even during the mid-60’s when Paul took a little more control, it was still John that Ringo and George looked up to. So to throw her into the mix screwed up the dynamic of the group. The fact that they were both addicted to heroin didn’t help either.

Would it be fair to say that Yoko is, in her own way, a fairly private person?
Yeah, pretty much. You don’t here much about her anymore and on her site ImaginePeace she doesn’t give a lot of information about herself. And on her myspace, twitter, and facebook.
Oh and I just wanted to let everyone know, Yoko talked to me on the internet on her ImaginePeace website! I asked a question about her and John’s album Two Virgins and why they posed naked….yea I was stoked!

Wow, that’s quite a thing! What did she answer?
I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition.

Pretty much the same answer I had heard all before on the internet from everyone else. Except she was WAY more detailed. She said something how artistic and pure a naked picture is and what it symbolizes, which is why they both chose it.
It was a in January when she answered my question so I really can’t remember.
I know I saved her EXACT answer on my computer somewhere, but I can’t find it. I will look for it and post it when I find it.

*sniffs* That was the most *sniffs* beautiful thing I *sniffs* have ever… seen!
I did a History project on John Lennon , and I made a little questionaire thingy for Yoko to fill out over e-mail, and she answered a couple of the questions but that's nothing compared to Sunii's experiences. *coughJuliancough* Jealousyyy!
I'm in love, but I'm lazy.

yoko didn't cause the beatles break up – john's herion addiction did – if you changed one thing – lennon's clouded thinking due to herion, everything could have been different. every one of them acknowledges that his drug addiction made him impossible to deal with. even george martin has said it.

But who influenced him to do heroin? Yoko to me is one of the root causes of the breakup because the Beatles could deal with John when he was taking LSD on a daily basis, even though it broke up his marriage, and they probably could have dealt with him if he was a heroin addict just by himself. But he decided to bring Yoko into the group and she was also a heroin addict on top of everything else that she brought. She rapidly sped up the process that was started by Brian's death.

Robert Fraser was the guy who apparently got John addicted to smack. He tried to with Paul too, according to Many Years From Now, but he wasn't interested. I think Yoko was already using it but they got properly hooked when they became a couple.

Yeah, I understand it was probably Fraser. (Not to say that he's to *blame*, people having free will and all.)
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Me and my girlfriend met Yoko in Ann Arbor, MI a few years ago on the street. It was a weird encounter.
Are you serious, that would be so weird. She is on the list of people i too scared of to be in the same room with, along with Leiutinent Dan, the Tyrannosauraus fron Jurrasic park, and Barney.
