Twitter wouldn’t be the only thing that would explode… Paul might, too
And what would that mean to @Ahhh Girl? And what would that mean to this forum?
You see, everything’s interconnected…

Now that you’ve become a forum member I will protect and defend like the others because you have shown that you can be a good, civil contributor, @Derek_Francis, let’s revisit your statement from a few weeks back.
Derek_Francis said in the Yoko Appreciation thread
Okay. I’m open to a view change. Can someone try to convince me that Yoko Ono isn’t a bad person.
From what I understand.
1. Most who knew her found her obnoxious and disrespectful.
2. She seemed very controlling and tried to use John’s fame to inject herself into as much of the limelight as possible.
3. She robbed Julian fat.
First things first, what does it mean to rob someone fat? I haven’t heard that phrase before.
Now to the core of the matter. This is the better thread for having a discussion of this nature. Please do let me (and everyone) know if you were convinced of by any posts made in the other thread that Yoko has any redeeming qualities. Do you have any comments or thoughts on any of those posts? It will just show me that you have taken the time to read the posts there and are serious about having a true discussion (and being open to a change of view). How about any posts in this thread?

Doesnt being robbed fat mean that everything is taken off you, nothing or next to nothing is left? Thats how I take the statement anyway.

This week’s fantastic podcast ‘Something About The Beatles” hosted by authors Robert Rodriguez and Richard Buskin, discusses Yoko Ono.
44: “Oh Yoko” (Or: All I Want Is The Truth)
March 8, 2016
In this mostly non-musical episode (imagine!), Richard and Robert take on the “Ballad of John and Yoko” – separating truth from self-spun myth.
SATB is a damn-fine podcast, if you’ve never listened before. This is the direct link to the ‘cast, if you’re interested.

According to the wonderful BB home page, today is John and Yoko’s anniversary.
Wonder how Yoko is feeling today.

What’s everyone’s opinions on this?
George Harrison invited John at his Bangladesh concert but John wouldn’t do it because he didn’t want Yoko. Yoko then moved out for a while because she was mad John didn’t insist she be in it.
I agree with Yoko. I understand where they both were coming from, but the Beatles could never have a legitimate reunion again, regardless of whether she was there or not.

How can you agree with Yoko? George didn’t want her there because he didn’t want her there. What did John have to do with that?
I just understand where she was coming from. She probably felt like he should have insisted and defended his wife instead of quit the whole thing. John was in a bad position between the two.

Yoko Ono, the widow of John Lennon , has banned herself from writing about the Fab Four again.
‘The book that I’m writing now is not about The Beatles or my experiences with The Beatles,’ says the 83-year-old, who penned Memories Of John Lennon in 2009.
‘I think it verges on rudeness when I write about them now, because they’re my very best friends still, and I just don’t want to invade their privacy.’

After he died she must have promoted him. It’s a lot easier to be best friends with someone while they’re dead than it is to be best friends with them while they’re alive.

Highly doubt that Yoko and Paul are or ever were very best friends. Their relationship is better now than it was but I can’t see them calling each other up for a chat or meeting for a cup of tea and blether.
