"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been.. I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene.. Banjos! Banjos! All the time, I can't forget that tune.. and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

Longhaired Lady may like a certain video clip of Paul — but I don’t know how to find it. Back in the 80s I believe he made a long video showing various things he and the Wings band were doing backstage etc.
One scene featured them all going out to a big noisy pub somewhere in London (maybe Liverpool). As the camera was just panning around, soaking up the atmosphere, at one point while Paul was just socializing at the bar the camera paused on him, and he noticed, then began giving the camera long humorously amorous looks like he was coming on to the camera. Very funny.
At the end of their pub night, Paul is sitting with an old man, they have their arms around each other, and they are singing some old Irish folk song while everyone else watches.
Faded flowers, wait in a jar, till the evening is complete... complete... complete... complete...

This the one (skip to 1:50)? If it is its from 1973s tv special James Paul McCartney .

You are correct, I adore this video. I am also quite fond of the part at 2:51 where he is smoking and he puffs his smoke away in that fancy fashion. None other like him.

That’s the one! Thanks LHL! I fear it would have taken me hours to try to track that down. (I sure was wildly off on the decade — that whole Wings era was kind of a blur for me).
I’ve tried doing that with smoke and I still can’t figure out how the hell he does it… Oh right, he’s Paul McCartney .
