So overall I am very Georgish, slightly Paulish and Ringoish, not at all Johnish, and I’d make a good doorman.

So I’ve kind of been out of the Beatles internet game since I was a teenager and am only recently diving back in. There is certainly a lot more out there and I love that it doesn’t take 10 minutes to load one website! But also I’m a relatively younger Beatles fan (aka I didn’t grow up in the ’60s and was in 8th grade when George died) but have been a HUGE obsessive fan since about 10 years old. Anyway, my favorite Beatle for the majority of this time was John and I even have a tattoo of his self-portrait. The order was always John, George, Paul, Ringo.
However, about 5-6 years ago I went through an existential crisis of sorts where I didn’t really think John was really my favorite Beatle anymore and thought it might be Paul. However, I haven’t really been sure how to reconcile this with myself and I’ve kind of been avoiding the question (busy with law school and life etc.) also not sure how to fit George into the mix because I don’t want to push him to number three. But most importantly, if I’m no longer a John person but am now a Paul person who am I? and what does that say about me? Lol.
I know this all sounds so silly but I figure if anyone understands this crisis of personality it will be other diehard Beatles fans. I just feel like Paul might be more aligned with who I am today. But as I mentioned earlier I’m not familiar with good online sources of these types of quizzes anymore, if there even are any. Has anyone else felt similarly or am I just weird for feeling this off by this change in Beatle allegiance? If anyone else has how did you figure this out?
Again, I realize this is slightly ridiculous but I do almost feel like I don’t know who I am anymore. If I’m not a John person as I always thought I was who am I? Am I actually a Paul person? Where does George go? He fits too and can’t possibly be number three. I’ve asked friends for help but they haven’t really come through because I think only diehard Beatles fans know exactly what your favorite Beatle means to who you are as a person and what that shift can imply.
Thanks!!

Welcome, @tp909 . Maybe you are a harmonized whole of the 4? What a dynamic package you would be!
As Paul sings in one of his solo songs:
That would be something
It really would be something
that would be something
Hopefully one of the quizzes listed in this thread will help you find yourself.
When I take the personality quiz that assigns you a color, I always end up a perfect rainbow. I seem to have no one part of my personality that is stronger than the others.

The thing about favorite Beatles is that, really, you can’t choose them– they choose you. (That sounds silly, but it’s true.) My favorite Beatle used to be Paul, until I decided not to have any favorite Beatles. And I didn’t, for a while, but as I listened more and read more and watched more, I started falling in love with George, and now I couldn’t dream of having a favorite other than him. If a Beatle chooses you like that, great! If they don’t, that’s also fine! Nobody gets to decide your favorite but you. And remember, your favorite isn’t set in stone– it can always change.

Whispered words of wisdom, @50yearslate.
It’s okay @tp909 — it’s not that important which one’s your favourite. You can still love them all.

I’ve been asked so many times before why Paul is my favorite and I honestly have no idea, but it has been since the very beginning of me being a fan (back when I would still mix them up in pictures). It has always felt to me that I had no choice in the matter. He’s my favorite just because he is. I have also wondered at times if I would have had a different favorite Beatle if I had become a fan in a different epoch of my life.
I don’t agree that my favorite is set in stone, though. I had no choice in Paul being my favorite, and now that he is, he just is. I couldn’t even consider switching. One reason is that I would feel like I’m betraying him, and another is because my bedroom door is a collage of pics of his face, so I don’t know what I would do about that.
