I think I relate to Paul the most. It’s hard to explain, but I feel like I just get him or something, like we think on similar wavelengths almost. I’m not usually one for astrology, but we are both geminis and i’ve found that in real life i either really click with other geminis or i clash with them because of how similar we are (almost like they reflect the best and worst things i see in myself). This is a totally coincidental thing not an ‘astrology is totally real’ thing, but it’s an interesting angle to me nonetheless. Sometimes geminis have the stereotype of being two faced and I think Paul’s been criticized for this in the past. But really he’s just more of a private person who only lets his guard down around those closest to him, which i find in myself alot.
I can see myself in John and George to a degree, but not in the same way, and i don’t really understand them in the fundamental way i seem to get Paul. Some of it could be projection, but i suspect we really are similar.
Btw I’m INTP, not quite sure where i stand with emotions, but i’m learning to trust my gut and have long since come to the conclusion that adherence to logic over emotion no matter what is in itself illogical.
also it’s been awhile. hello again fellow beatle people

I’ve been thinking a lot about this recently and I have come to the conclusion that I am 50% George and 50% John.
My personality type overall is INFP (the Mediator) . I also just found out that John was an INFP, too.
I used to be INFP, too, and then I learned to be more logical (around the time of my political awakening ) and I became an INTP. I guess I grew up
There’s no shame in being an INFP of course, I guess I’m just not one.
I also went from INFP to INTP.
There was one period of my life where I got INTP on the personality test and I think that was the time where I was trying so hard to be logical and reasonable and now I’m just like “Feck it. Emotions and gut feelings you win” and now I’m a mess and I think that’s where my John side really pokes through.
Imagine a person waving with their hand and then a person waving with one pinky finger. The pinky finger wave is like the intensity of my emotions at this phase of my life. Yes, I feel more enthusiasm on some days, and yes I can hold a grudge when a person betrays me. And I can drag on and on sometimes in a kind of existential malaise with no motivation. But you won’t see me jumping for joy or expressing anything like sorrow or desperation. And you’ll only see me cry if it’s while watching a movie. I do cry at almost every movie. Most of the time I have the same even tempered affect and subtle yet inappropriate (sometimes overtly inappropriate) sense of humor.
@AppleScruffJunior it’s “misled” not mislead. Mislead is the present tense.

Interesting! I’m a bit of an astrology nerd myself (although I believe it’s coincidental/correlational and not tHe aCtUaL sTaRs), and Paul and I have the same Moon sign (Leo) and I’ve found that I definitely relate to him on a certain level, although he’s definitely a Gemini and I’m definitely not . Leo moon traits are typically described as generous, domineering, and a subconscious craving for attention and approved which often leads to a flair for the emotionally dramatic and a love of performance. Paul and I both have that in spades (though I doubt he would want to admit his secret insecurities openly, and I don’t like to either, but for the sake of “””science””” ).
also WELCOME BACK KANIFFEE we missed ya!

That’s so similar to me right now too. My mum got really, really annoyed at me for being so apathetic during my final exams, but there’s no point stressing.
Even when last night I was told my grandma had left me quite a fair amount of money in her will, I think my reaction of ‘wow… I wasn’t expecting that’ didn’t really live up to their expectations.
And re. the point about crying, that’s something else I totally relate to – the last time I cried about something that wasn’t a movie has to be, oh I don’t know, 4 or 5 years ago?
Good to know I’m not alone

Lads, aren’t we all lucky this is a grammar and spelling forum?!? May I, as politely as possible say f**k off with all the corrections. The unnecessary trying to rile me up is pissing me off.
I consider this to be a casual forum, I rarely reread my posts (as I’ve stated countless times) so mistakes are inevitably going to be made. I notice them in my own time and so long as it doesn’t impede your understanding of what I’m saying you don’t have to be an ass and go “ahm actually it’s…”. It’s unnecessary and I’m not asking you to go around and correct my posts or else you’d never have time to do anything else because trust me I KNOW there is/are some typo(s) somewhere.
If you have something to add to my post rather than reply and solely pointing out English mistakes, actually write something of value- your opinion, an addition to what I’ve said etc., I’ll happily say I agree or disagree with you.
If you spot an error in my post, like a factual error, I am most open to being taught something new. I have been wrong multiple times before in my comments and will continue to be wrong in the future, I am most happy to be corrected.
However, I would appreciate if in the future, you’ve got nothing actually creative to say and an error I’ve made isn’t hindering your understanding of the post than I would prefer if you’d let sleeping dogs lie. I’ll catch it sometime in the future. A few days ago I edited a post from 3 years ago because I noticed it was missing an apostrophe, the errors will be amended eventually. A perfect example of when it’s necessary was a few days ago when RN said do you mean prosecution instead of persecution? Two different words, two different meanings but similar spellings, an easy mistake to make but one that could cause confusion, my ‘effect’, ‘withhold’, did not affect the message I was conveying.
I’m sorry SS? for bringing this into your thread.

Oh. That was me, and I’m certainly guilty of being mildly obsessive-compulsive about grammar, but I was fairly sure that it was just a side note in a larger post in which I also said other things that were actually relevant. I never meant for ASJ to get so gravely offended over a minor aside in a post.

Fun fact, I used to not know misled was the past tense form of mislead and I thought it was a whole separate word pronounced “myzld.”

Good grief, just cool y’all’s jets. There’s no need for either of you to take everything so personally.
Now, everyone, if we can just return to calmly psychoanalysing ourselves to the tune of our psychoanalyses of the Fab Four, that would be lovely.

Just a note I did see the earlier message by ExTex and I’m writing him a PM. Any further comments I unfortunately haven’t seen but please reach out to me and I can explain why I did what I did.
People in western Europe are particularly deficient in Vitamin D. I take supplements during the winter to avoid seasonal blues.

I was displeased by both of y’all’s conduct, but you were the one who reached out to me directly so that’s the only reason I addressed it. I thought I made that quite clear, but I guess you see what you want to see…
I’m just trying to do my job as a moderator, which is to keep the forum running smoothly. Y’all don’t make it easy sometimes, though I suppose it could be much worse.

@AppleScruffJunior, thanks for the PM. Once again, I apologize for unintentionally upsetting you.
I think what you have to say about Ringo is very perceptive. He never struck me as the brightest Beatle, though. Sometimes we expect a high standard of behavior from celebrities when they are not able to measure up.
I think he does care about peace and love, but he should probably stay quiet about politics if he doesn’t understand the nuance involved in it.
One of my childhood heroes, Ace Frehley, is an outspoken supporter of Trump and I can’t stand Trump. The thing is, I don’t think Ace is a bad person. People are just who they are.

Can everyone take a breather, remember that the sun comes out a few times every year and let this good discussion get back to what it once was. For all those slighted, irked, hurt or bewildered and wanting to play ‘Hitman‘ on repeat for days to whoever they feel grieved them (seriously, it’s a bloody dreadful song), hold back and let it all go. Such actions are completely unfair – it really is a truly painful listening experience no enemy should suffer.
Extra Texture , it would be disappointing if you took a break from the forum. I highly doubt anyone wants to see that happen so hopefully, you will stay around.
Now. Can we all move on and get back to deeply self-analysing ourselves in comparison to four people we have never met and most likely never will. It’s fun.
And can I ask a favour: can posts not be heavily altered and amended to random comments as it distracts from the conversation in hand. I know posts are sometimes made that we wish could be retracted but it would be preferred if you PM’d a mod and we can do a clean, it’s more beneficial for the long term. Thank you.
