Ah well, it’s all good. And to solve the mystery for you, I can count to 21 in the shower.
Why can you only count to 21?
My Uncle had an extra toe when he was born but he got it chopped off becuase he said that he was being bad and so my grandma chopped it off with a knife! I don't really think he was joking though, becuase she usually carries arround one in her purse.
The two years I'd pick would be from April 6, 1966 until April 10, 1970 only that's probably more than two!
ONE MINUTE YOU'RE DEFENDING THE WHOLE GALAXY, AND SUDDENLY, YOU FIND YOURSELF SUCKING DOWN DARJEELING WITH MARIE ANTOINETTE AND HER LITTLE SISTER.!

Ah. Fine work, Sherlock!
EDIT: SL! That’s quite the story! For a minute, I thought you meant your grandma carries a toe around in her purse…and I was like , but then I re-read it. Carry on…

Joe's recent trip to Hamburg rekindled that spark of imagination, wondering what it was really like for them during any of their stints there. It's still hard for me to not include any of their Pre-Beatlemania visits in my two year period out of sheer curiosity.
The thing that stops me is I just can't help thinking about the horrid conditions under which they lived the first time there.
All of you have come up with some really cool reasons!
And JET! (you know I thought you…*ahem* focus, Zig), thanks for having a sense of humor. You rock!

Christmas 1965 – Christmas 1967.
Funny to think I did actually live through those years, as a toddler!
I remember picking out Rubber Soul from an uncle's record collection and thinking…oooh weird..although it was obviously some years later. Going back in the time machine, I would go and buy it for Christmas.
I was also a Top of the Pops addict (in later years) so I would get a buzz from seeing them doing Paperback Writer live in June 66, followed by the whole world tour fiasco that summer! I would've stuck by them of course.
I may also fly down to Spain to check out John on the How I Won.. film-set..
I'm not a huge Sgt. Pepper fan, but it would be interesting to see them 'regenerating' at that time.
Then let's take it up to Magical Mystery Tour on the telly….and I may even check out what toys my 3 year old self got that year!

He has ten fingers, ten toes, and exposes his twenty-first digit when in the shower.
I told her I didn’t

Nice – I never thought of that. Imagine if you could take it a step further by leaving what you really wanted under the tree!

I would pick from Revolver time till Abbey Road time!
After I took it, it opened my eyes. We only use one-tenth of our brain. Just think what we could all accomplish if we could only tap that hidden part. It would mean a whole new world. If the politicians would take LSD, there wouldn't be any more War or poverty or famine.

Aug ’65 to Aug ’67.
So I’d witness Help !, Rubber Soul , Revolver and Sgt Peppers being released, and I would've gone to Shea!
My favourite Beatles period, I think the period where they changed their sound the most, and started to become more creative and inventive in their music.
Also, I think these few years shaped the decade the most, if that makes any sense at all. You take one song off of any of those albums and it sounds like it’s got the Swinging Sixties running through it. That sounds weird but I don’t know how to explain it any better.

Mine too. Just really good years. Before conflict became a bigger issue, and kinda right in the middle of their careers as Beatles. It’s a nice sweet spot.

I wanna rethink my answer from years ago…opinions can change (and change back!) So now I’m gonna say Autumns ’62 to ’64, so I can see them rocking the Caverns and Star-Clubs pre-Mania…and then recording PPM , conquering the world, filming AHDN , getting high with Dylan, recording feedback, everything in between. To witness the fuse and the explosion, sure, but also just to watch their talents expand from singing/ playing/performance to composing to recording, with side forays into film and literature.
So that’s my answer now. Another few years and I’ll change it again to January 65 thru 67. Or something…
