*Ahem*

Cloning has been discussed on this site and many of us are looking for a John clone 2 to timeshare, yes there will be a few teething issues but with a little added bite and wisdom i’m sure we can get him polished up.

In the museum Ringo’s legendary hot-water bottle collection.

I think the all the recording equipment from Sgt Peppers  – the board, mixing console, mics, sound processors, other outboard equipment. This was  place where all those new sounds the Beatles were making came together, they were tweaked for sound, mixed, etc and then they came out with that incredible product. Especially for it’s day.

I think if people saw the technology of the day they would have a much better understanding of the true genius it took to produce that album – regardless of how you feel about the music, the product itself is outstanding.

These days we have more sophisticated equipment in our cellphone.

Has anybody been to the Rock ‘ Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland? I was there when it opened, but for the life of me, I can’t remember what Beatles stuff is in there. There wasn’t much at the time cuz they had stuff from every rock star who donated something, quantity, not quality. I think they had a special exhibit for John’s 70th birthday. Anyways…back to our museum: gate from Strawberry Field, Eleanor Rigby tombstone, alarm clock from “Day in the Life” (wonder whatever happened to that…Mal Evans took it?), pair of John’s glasses, Stu Sutcliffe’s bass, Ringo’s ring from “Help !”

Someone posted at Reddit about John’s Sgt. Pepper uniform at the Hall of Fame museum.

I love these responses, everyone!

^^^ The Mal Evans alarm clock!! That’s a great one!

Seats off the plane they flew to America on!  Any leather clothing from the Hamburg era!  What ever happened to their Austin Princess?

^^ The rooftop of 3 Saville Row, surely then?

Where is George’s sitar actually? I’d presume Olivia and Dhani still own it, but both of them don’t really play sitar couldn’t they lend it to a Rock ‘N’ Roll museum for a couple of years. George’s Mini is another thing I’d like to see!

Sgt. Pepper ‘s costumes are an obvious choice along with Shea stadium jackets maybe?

The “Magical Mystery Tour ” bus would be cool, as would any Beatle-used keyboards they could salvage from Abbey Road . (And so what if much of this stuff probably doesn’t even EXIST anymore?)

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

A selection of the drugs they took (behind an alarmed glass cabinet).

George’s Mini (from MMT)

The leather gear they wore in the early days

Has Ed Sullivan’s Theatre been suggested, we would need that?

The hole from Yellow Submarine .

Some Blue Meanies (especially Max), Apple Bonkers and the Flying Glove.

When I was last in the UK on holiday I noticed they had the cloned Dolly the sheep in the museum in Edinburgh – could do the same with John?

Katie, can we have them all? We can rotate the one on display. That will keep bringing people back.

A little pedantic maybe, but surely the drugs they TOOK aren’t around anymore! And, if you did have a display of the kind of drugs they took, surely you’d want them inside an alarmed glass cabinet, not behind it!

Glad you saw I’d followed up your Apple Scruff question, cbatcu. I’d agree, stalking blankets (why is there not one Ringo!), sleeping bag, Apple poncho = rotating display! Yay!

If we are going to get pedantic about posts we’ll be here all year nit-picking over everything as well as correcting comma’s, semi-colons, hyphens and everything else. As in Just A Minute the meaning of what was said was understood and therefore it was an incorrect challenge, I gain a point and continue with the subject.

John’s peaked cap (I love that cap).

No, on the placement of the drugs, I knew you intended to place them INSIDE the alarmed cabinet, but watched you put them behind it. I’m sorry, any good s**t back there, I’m joining the queue!

When our illustrious young friend is a newly minted bigwig professor – maybe a new Beatles museum would be a suitable celebration and I can be given a great new green card to assist (do they still have green cards?)  🙂

??? Is that me you were referring to??? Actually, I won’t ever make it to full Professor. I would have to get a Ph.d to make it to that rarefied air. I have 1 bachelor’s and 2 master’s degrees. That’s all the formal schooling I want stuffed into my head. On-going professional development is enough for me now. Besides, that give me more time and room in my brain to stuff in Beatles knowledge.

Yes, we still have green cards…but I don’t know if they are processing them during this #%#@# government shutdown.

And, if this was about me, thanks for saying I’m young. I, unlike Paul, do not color my hair. I am now often give the senior citizen’s discount automatically at restaurants. Hey, saving $ is fine with me.
