I wonder how many years of being a Beatles fan it will take for me to become jaded about what we don’t haveof their music. I’m still swimming happily in all the music I do have from them.
But, to support the rest of you, I will still help with the plan on how to raid the Apple vault.About 2-3. Then you’ll get into the mindset of “OK, why doesn’t the marathon jam of “Helter Skelter ” see the light of day?”

Listening to what Apple gave/give us and then what is out there on bootlegs should do it, if not a bit of further reading will suffice.
Thanks. I am an obsessive planner so now I know my timeline somewhat and can prepare myself. My heavy reading (double meaning intended) will start when Tune In arrives on my doorstep soon. I shall begin to brace myself now.

I know…it will be an official relase of A/B Road in a box set that costs 1,400 dollars.
I bloody well hope not. I have the bootleg and even tho it would be incredibly stupid i’d still be ordering the damn thing online, auctioning a kidney to pay for it.

The supply of newly released Beatles material is in direct proportion to either Ringo’s and/or George’s estate’s financial need. That’s the facts folks.
I don’t entirely agree, however if we assume you’re totally correct, that would say that there’s financial need from Ringo and/or George’s estate at the moment, since we’ve just had BBC 2.

Ringo’s last few tours bombed and his book is not doing as expected – he spends A LOT of money. Also product coming out now was negotiated years ago – so we’d have to look back a couple of years to see what was happening then.
Ringo and George’ estate have massive tax bills from what I understand. However I will confess to a twinge of snideness in the remark.

…his book is not doing as expected…
What would sales of Photograph have to do with Ringo’s financial circumstances? As all royalties are going to the Lotus Foundation charity, Ringo cannot be earning any more or any less than from it than he expected, as in pounds, dollars, euros, or whatever other currency you want to use, he expected his financial gain to be exactly – ZERO! I, like Joe, would also be interested in your sources. Especially when you are so wrong on the book.

I don’t think it’s fair to say Ringo’s tours have bombed, they were never to going to be the sell-out’s that Paul gets but they seem to get healthy crowds. It’s not like he is playing to 3 people a night in massive stadiums.

Well, in the rather pretentious notes that accompany the Rockshow bluray, noting the time it took to get it released (33 years), the writer quotes Paul as saying he puts out ‘ART‘ – he is not running a store. So, even if it takes 50 years, we have to wait for projects to scratch Paul’s arty itch before they see the light of day.
He was Exec Producer of this release.

Paul is 71. I very much doubt Paul will be around in 40 years never mind feeling an arty itch so what happens then, are the releases forgotten about? Or will there be a seance every 6 months trying to see if he is itchy in the afterworld?

I’d say seance him every 6 minutes until his otherworldly self gets sick of us bothering him so he will do the releases. We won’t let his spirit rest until he gets them done.

Ha ha – hopefully he will see this post, decide he would like a more peaceful afterlife (hopefully ‘many years from now’ ), and start ‘letting go’ sooner.

I’d like To see the third Beatles Reunion song, which was supposedly finished just recently. Although it had been worked on and improved in recent years, prior to being completely finished. I understand all four Beatles do feature on the recording, and this song is in the pipeline scheduled for release, What sort of compilation album or other archival material videos would be used in the package I don’t know. I can’t wait, fingers crossed it’s all true. The source is pretty solid, been right on in the past with similar products and releases before any official announcement

Hey there – welcome aboard and thanks for this suggestion. Maybe Anthologies 4 then? That would be fine by me.

Interesting if it happens, trouble is George put the cobblers on the final song, one reason supposedly being the reception to Free As A Bird , another that he didn’t feel the recording was working, and i can see Olivia respecting his wishes and saying no.
Personally i can go thru my life never hearing it as neither FAAB or RL really added anything to the Beatles legacy aside from an extra chapter in their story which you wouldn’t have to read to know more about the band.

Well you are entitled to your opinon. I couldn’t disagree more. Free As A Bird , and Real Love , in addition to the never before released outtakes like Leave My Kitten Alone , That Means A Lot and Not Guilty were fantastic
I don’t expect the package to be Anthology 4, for one thing the first three anthologies were all in chronological order, whereas a fourth anthology wouldn’t be.
I don’t what type of package an additional material to expect, the promo videos with Now an then included with a new video, several songs in addition to Now an then packaged on some type of best of package I wouldn’t be surprised if several other unreleased tracks make the packge, all I know I am expecting the finished Now an then as part of a set of ongoing Beatles releases to capitolize on the Beatle50th Anniversary in America

I dont have a problem with the Anthology project itself, and we got some really good unreleased material from it so for that i’m grateful. It’s all the edits (i detest how they ruined Not Gulity), cut and paste material, and the two Beatlised Lennon demo’s (Free As A Bird is bettered by a fan remix and the Real Love demo Take 4 released in Johns Anthology box i find far superior (actually you can choose any RL demo of John’s and its better than the Beatles one)), which bug me.
I can see where you are coming from tho whobeatle, a lot of people i know love The Beatles Free As A Bird and Real Love . It’s one of the debates that can fire up passion among Beatle fans.
And welcome to the site. Hopefully you will stick around and post away.

I have to say I agree with mmm. I think the idea of Paul and Ringo hanging around until after George’s death to finish off Now And Then and release it would be appalling. No matter how they dressed it up, were it to be the case, it would be the first time in their career that they released that one of them (George) had explicitly vetoed.
Though, you could argue the other three did it to Paul with Let It Be . They just didn’t let him hear it until it was too late though.
