I’ve had to solve some math problems for an application recently and one problem contained a type of numbers with certain properties for which one had to prove something. One of the properties was, that the sum of its digits is 57. Lazy as I am, I didn’t want to refer to them as ‘the type of number with property A, B, and C of which the digits sum up to 57’ all the time, so I chose to give them a name. And since the year 1957 is a really important year for Beatles fans I baptised those special numbers Beatles Numbers….I’d like to see the corrector’s face when they see my solutions.

I’m in the process of making my cousin a scrapbook for her graduation. I’ve got a ton of stickers, and one in particular has the quote “I get by With A Little Help From My Friends ” (the Beatles reference is probably the only reason I bought that sticker). The page I used the sticker on has a picture of us where we’re under the influence. I thought it was fitting considering what the next line of the song is.

My next paper in Classics is about how Ancient Tragedians such as Aeschylus and Sophocles use [The Gods] as a concept by which they measure their pain.

In music theory, Dazed & Confused and WMGGW were used as examples for chrimatic basslines. It was the love version, not the album version.

A few months ago I quoted “the love you take is equal to the love you make” at the end of a movie review. I must confess that since it was a romantic movie about a cassanova, I did intend to express double meanings…

I am giving a speech on the difference between acoustic and electric guitars, and the intro includes an anecdote about me strumming along to the Beatles on a badminton racket as a kid.

I’m giving my special occasion speech (i.e. toast, eulogy, tribute, etc.) about Abbey Road turning 50. Wish me luck with making this accessible to a bunch of college kids who probably listen to god only knows what
