People can legally record cover versions. A huge chunk of YT posts would be taken down if not. The only thing they have to do is pay the songwriter(s) their share of any money made.
If any money is made, that is.
I'm Necko. I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.
I'm also ewe2 on weekends.

It looks like it’s time for a surprise mini lesson on chord progressions. To understand what you want to know, you first must know the scale and the major chord scale, we will be using the key of A as an example as that’s the key She’s A Woman is in.
The A major scale:
A B C# D E F# G# A
I II III IV V VI VII VIII/I
A major scale chords:
A B C#m D E F#m G# A
I II iii IV V vi VII VIII/I
As you can see, the major is uppercase and the minor is lowercase when referring to chords.
Back to She’s A Woman , here’s the chords with their relativity to the root note.
Verse:
A D A
I IV I
A D A
I IV I
D D
IV IV
A D A
I IV I
E D A D A E
V IV I IV I V
Chorus:
C#m F#m C#m D E
iii vi iii IV V
As you can see, the F#m during the chorus is the minor 6th.
We were talking about intervals in notes not chords, as in playing middle C on the piano to Ab. So in the melody, there is apparently a minor 6th somewhere. Sorry, I should have clarified that!

Always fascinates me that one, the whole release of Roots screwing the case royally for Levy. Quite a complicated little tale you’re taking on there.
Funnily enough, the person who presented before me also presented about Chuck Berry! He did Sweet Little Sixteen/Surfin’ USA.
Everyone really enjoyed Come Together , so yay! I can’t believe how badly Levy screwed up the case.

There’s no majors or minors in single note intervals, just flats and sharps, like I bII/#I II bIII/#II III IV bV/#IV V bVI/#V VI VII bI/#VII, so if you’re talking about sinlge note intervals and are referring to the flattened sixth, that would be F in the key of A, which is nowhere to be seen on She’s A Woman .

In America, you learn music theory very differently to Britain/Australia (quarter note/crotchet). So we refer to an interval of, say, minor 6th, whereas you call it an interval of a flatten sixth.
But language differences aside, we agree the website has stuffed up really badly with She’s A Woman ?

Just listen to my quiet nonsensical paranoid ramblings, especially in public, there’s a lot of non Beatles dialogue, such as “they all want you dead” and “I’ll get my revenge on you all” but there’ll be some Beatles related comments like “there are 3 walruses” and “The Beatles love you”.

The opening interval in the melody is a minor 6th. The inverse would be a major third. Paul sings from the 3 to the 8 on “my love.”
@Dark Overlord, remember that the vii of a major scale is diminished. You got the rest of the numerals correct but you put VII as if the 7th is major but it is not.

It’s been a Beatley time in school again, lately!
First, we had English class and our teacher asked for volunteers to give a group of exchange students from Tanzania a guided tour of Hamburg in July. As the only volunteer, the task was given to me and I am allowed to decide what to show them apart from the most popular sights. So, naturally….
Apart from that, I’ll give a presentation in which I have to analyse and compare Back In The USSR and California Girls in music class next week.

Right now I’m doing a group project in creative writing class where each person chooses a famous person, and we come up with questions to interview each other in order to write an article. I chose Paul, and since we’re supposed to research what some actual answers are to the questions we get, I have not much of a clue what to put for some of it. My plan b is just to add in a bunch of “y’know”s after every few sentences.

As an end of the year project, some classmates and I have to give a presentation on cannabis which should be presented in a creative way. We decided on talking about the influence pot had on musicians too.
Now, I’ve done everything I could to insert a Beatles reference, I suggested playing Got To Get You Into My Life , telling the ‘there are seven levels’ anecdote or the one of the stoned appearance at the movie set of help, I even asked whether we didn’t want to insert this picture:
But the others remained surprisingly unconvinced by my suggestions. Therefore, we talk about and show pictures of Jimi Hendrix now, since ‘he’s more popular anyway’.
At least, I had an excuse to play the others Rubber Soul during the preparation for the presentation since it’s a ‘pot album’ and I think they rather liked it!

To be fair, that isn’t Revolver Paul so you didn’t miss out on much although it’s very sad that they didn’t mention Got To Get You Into My Life there but don’t worry, maybe next year you’ll be able to mention the song if they choose to discuss minute details.

School has been out for a while here, but I recently recalled what happened earlier in the year when I nearly went full-blown fangirl in history class when the teacher was talking about the Summer of Love. A few weeks before that my teacher had talked briefly about the Beatles arrival in America and I was able to tell the class about how they refused to play at Gator Bowl if the audience was segregated and all that… I was pretty happy to have been able to get something in there about them, so when topics switched to the Summer of Love and the Vietnam War, I was all prepared.

I’ve got really exciting news (okay, probably not that exciting):
Next year in summer I will graduate in school and in Germany it’s a tradition that the students who finish school have a slogan to print on pullovers and paint on the school yard with colour. They also organise some sort of party or prank for the younger students under this slogan.
So, one requirement for a good slogan is that it is a pun on the word ‘Abi’ in any way because that’s what the final examination is called. Now, my year is already planning the slogan and one of the ideas is … Abi Road – Finally passed the audition and the best thing is that, although it’s not the most popular slogan yet, there are already several people who like it! I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it will win!

School’s just started and, of course, there has already been a Beatley moment in class – that’s how I like it!
So, we had music class and our teacher had the great idea that every student should pick up a xylophone except for some who played bass, piano, and drums to provide a basis. Then we should jointly improvise so everyone should play a few notes when they felt like it. After a few minutes, my sixth Beatles sense was suddenly alert and reporting an incident at the other half of the room where my friend stood: she had played four notes from ‘All My Loving ‘ and as I looked up she grinned at me! Naturally, I had to answer something and played a few notes from ‘Eight Days A Week ‘ and so it went on and on until suddenly our music teacher burst into laughter and said something about how real love always finds a way to surface. (He must think I’m nuts by now because I gave three presenations on The Beatles in the last term, the one about Sgt Pepper ‘s being 100 minutes long) Oh well, I’m innocent, my friend started it this time, not me!
