That.
When I listen to music (particularly Beatles of course), I wonder why anyone needs chemicals to get high.

New to Forumpool? You can introduce yourself here.
If you love The Beatles Bible, and you have adblock, don't forget to white-list this site!

I agree completely! You can just listen to an upbeat Beatles song and have a dance party!
…or just listen to the psychedelic songs off of SPLHCB

I’ve never listened to The Beatles on drugs. I’ve never done drugs. Drugs are bad. And illegal. And I love the government, who always know best when it comes to making my health decisions for me. You can’t prove anything! I’m not saying another word until I speak with my lawyer!*demented laughter*
Best post in this thread to date for mine 🙂
Pink Floyd seem to attract similar questions. I once went to a surfing movie at the cinema which had their music as the soundtrack (Meddle from memory) – and was just about high from the non-tobacco smoke drifting about (back in the days when folks could smoke at the cinema here).
Personally I find that the Beatles music by itself is enough to get me in a nice mood; I’ve never felt the need or inclination to experiment with the more unusual mind-altering substances. I do drink the odd bit of alcohol – primarily because I like the taste, usually with food. No judgements on others’ preferences though.
