We all know the famous Mop-top. But have any of you tried it. I went for a John and it looks good!
I even have the curls at the bottom! yeah these!

It may seem sad but that’s me! But anyway I love that style and I will now keep it always. Regardless of what anybody says!
Anyway I would upload photo’s but when it comes to e-safety I think I shouldn’t. (Yeah. I had a huge lecture about it in I.T today)
Anyway. I just thought I would tell you guys. Comment if any of you have tried it!

Well, I convinced my boyfriend into dressing like a Beatle and getting that same haircut(Pssssst, I told him I would kiss him if he did!) He looks pretty fine….sexy even.Any boyfriend I have has to meet my “Beatle” conditions.
And no, not as sexy as a Beatle, but you know what I mean, girls.

My hair’s not as thick as The Beatles’ (I have fine hair, that is; I’m not going bald), so it’s quite hard to get into a convincing moptop. It is longish on top, though every time it gets to 1965-length it looks a bit lank and needs a cut. Some hairdressers are better than others, I find. The one I go to at the moment seems to get what I’m after and doesn’t cut off too much.
That said, given what I do here, it would be pretty embarrassing if I walked around trying to look like a Beatle. It’s a little like those Elvis fans, Teddy boys or punks who cling on to one style era from the past.
When I was a teenager I had shoulder-length hair in a central parting, and wore granny glasses. I was trying to model myself on John circa the White Album . The few photos I have from that time are pretty embarrassing, but I was young and didn’t know any better. Girls in Bath in the early 90s didn’t really go for the hippy look

I have thick hair. The ideal hair for the moptop!
So do I, I have VERY thick hair so I am told by hairdressers every single time they cut my hair. I usually get it thinned out because I went to private school up until this year and they made the boys have short hair so thick hair would look weird. At the moment I haven’t had a haircut in months – enjoying my hair freedom!

Oh, I am going bald… But in my teens –and I’m talking about last century, which makes me feel rather old– I had long hair, shoulder-length, wavy, and a beard. Later on I shaved and had a Mohawk, or a sort-of Mohawk. Then I changed it for a The Police haircut. The eighties, y’know. Now my hair looks like Sting’s (the haircut he has now), or Bruce Willis’ haircut fifteen years ago. I couldn’t have had a Mop-top; The Beatles were cute, and I’m ugly. And I wear granny glasses but not because of John, but because I like the ’20s and ’30s fashion.
