It is a shame that the four members of ISIS (now down to two) that we keep seeing on the news and that carried out a number of be headings, keep being referred to as the Beatles; something the four came up with themselves I believe. I noticed one BBC newsreader raised a half smile at this !. There is nothing remotely funny about those charactyers..or ISIS as a whole….

It’s horrific people have to do such things in this world, but I personally don’t think this is a safe topic to talk about here, as it will probably spark an unneeded debate between forum members. Maybe the mods should remove this…

They were dubbed “the Beatles” by their victims, in reference to their British accents – though they were from London, rather than Merseyside.
Interesting that the dialect difference between London and Liverpool is mentioned.
All of the four in the group have been killed or taken into custody.
I will lock this thread for now and let @Joe decide if he wants to unlock or delete it.

I’m going to keep this thread locked. It’s obviously a horrific situation for anyone on the wrong side of these people, and I don’t want to give ISIS any further attention. It has nothing to do with the Beatles beyond a misappropriation of their names.
Also, the Beatles were about peace and love, which is about as far away from this ideology as one could get.
