^That was a nice one! Through the other Christmas song you posted I discovered the weeklings and eventually this cover of It Won’t Be Long :
The vocal performance is just stunning, in my opinion. For example, the very beginning sounds just like John, I mean literally like John! I just love this cover.

Dr. Pepper’s Jaded Hearts Club Band – an impromptu band made up of, among others, Miles Kane (Last Shadow Puppets), Matthew Bellamy (Muse), Ilan Rubin (Nine Inch Nails), Sean Payne (Zutons), and Chris Chester (Jet ) – perform a Beatles set at the 40th birthday party of Jamie Davis at Pour Vous in Hollywood on 28 September:Shame it’s only extracts, and I’m definitely going to be keeping an eye out for the full unedited performance.
This appears to be the only song that’s out there in full… so far:
Heads up, y’all, THERE’S MOAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR
I’ve yet to watch it but I’ve seen some excerpts.

I always feel a little weird about posting in this thread, because my favorite Beatles covers are not objectively “the best,” I’m sure. I guess I always feel odd about classifying music as “best” or “worst” because art is subjective by its very nature.
Anyway, here’s the late Pat DiNizio doing For No One .

American group Aqueous’ jaw-dropping live 12-minute version of Strawberry Fields Forever . Pretty straight, though impressive, cover to begin with, before it develops into a long musical exploration of its themes:

Joe Cocker’s first single from September 1964. Jimmy Page on guitar. He was signed to Decca by the infamous Dick Rowe, who suggested this cover.
They paid me ten shillings for that. The session men were [Big] Jim Sullivan and Little Jimmy Page, and they got paid more than me! When I formed The Grease Band with my mate Chris Stainton I asked Jimmy if he fancied joining us but he said, “Y’know, I think I’ve got something else in the pipeline I wanna do.”
The single was the only one released by Decca, though Joe would go on to have a success or two with Beatles covers a few years later…

Vika Yermolyeva (vkgoeswild) is an immensely talented YouTuber who I’ve previously drooled over on this forum. She plays piano covers, usually of hard rock and heavy metal songs. I cannot speak highly enough of her. Here she is playing Eleanor Rigby .
I can’t plug her enough, so here’s another Beatles cover she posted about a week ago.

Although I think his cover of With A Little Help From My Friends is a bit overrated (well on the other hand, that was one of the significant moments of Woodstock), I stumbled across Joe Cocker’s cover of She Came In Through The Bathroom Window just now and I really like it!

One of my favourite YouTubers (incredibly talented multi-instrumentalist, mostly does Pink Floyd) just posted this yesterday.
I haven’t heard that song in forever because my CD is damaged but this cover is really close to the original (which I have engraved in my DNA anyway ). He’s no Macca, but he knows his vocal limitations and works around them well.
