GniknuS had the (great) idea for this thread. Read on…
Perhaps this deserves it's own thread, but does anyone have any thoughts on what song sounds best in a pair of headphones? I'd say You Never Give Me Your Money , that middle instrumental bit with the “aaaaahhs” over the top sounds so beautiful it makes me want to cry. Or Rain …LOUD!
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

Come Together sounds awesome with earphones.. the “shoos” of John make me feel he's whispering to my ear… gives me goosebumps
Here comes the sun….. Scoobie-doobie……
Something in the way she moves…..attracts me like a cauliflower…
Bop. Bop, cat bop. Go, Johnny, Go.

To me, those goose bumps became elephant bumps when I found out he is actually saying “shoot me”.

That always pisses me off when I'm singing and drumming in rockband. I always feel I can just sing, but I always forget those.
Rain , Baby's In Black, and all the 3 part harmony songs.

I love listening to Abbey Road with headphones. It's not like one of those albums that are best played loud on speakers (Dark Side of the Moon anyone?). To me it's more touching and personal when listening with headphones.
In My Life , For You Blue , For No One , Girl.
Well we all shine on like the moon, the stars, and the sun.
Anything that’s been remixed, so Love, Yellow Submarine Songtrack and Let It Be … Naked. I don’t often hear new things in the normal remasters (with the possible exception of the mono mixes), but those are unfamiliar enough to still surprise me.

The end of Strawberry Fields is always extra-surprising when you listen to it through headphones.
I also noticed the “Oh! F*****g Hell” John says on Hey Jude .
You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

Elephant bumps?
BoT…
Revolver . Also the White Album . I was surprised at how much more I like “Revolution 9 ” in stereo.
Number 9… Number 9… Number 9…
If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

I feel like Revolution 9 isn't worth listening to unless it's with headphones. I remember once at a party in college I had my laptop set on shuffle on Itunes and that song played and no one seemed to enjoy it. My only argument was “you have to really listen to it, like right there, he just said onion soup, that's the best part of the song!” but still no one seemed to care.
Walrus is incredible with headphones, especially when you're really tuned into it. I love how I Will sounds too, so clean.

Wow. I didn't think Revolution 9 was actually likable. it gives me the creeps, especially at night. Of course Yoko doesn't help either. And it's just plain weird. I wonder if Carnival Of Light is the same way.

I think John's bits in Yellow Submarine are more enjoyable with headphones….

Yes! It seems to bounce around the room. I love it and I don't know why.

Oh, yeah. The “yeah” is like a laugh/yeah epic combo. It's easier to hear with the RB multi-tracks.

I don't think that it's “creepy” per se, it's just, um, not normal. At all. Kinda like the rest of the album.

No, it is creepy that you were talking about that very part right after I had heard it.
Ooh, now you can listen to to Revolution 9 in bed with the lights off and headphones on and really be creeped out.

I didn't know whether to put this in this thread or the harmony thread but I feel like you can't hear it without headphones. So speaking of Yellow Submarine , there's one voice in the chorus who is completely off key and very low. It sounds like George, just being cheeky, but with all of the other people singing, one of them could just be really bad.
