Yeah. The remixes do little for me.

Ignoring the actual point of this thread (if you believe the back story you are a real idiot) i think this thread contains Skye’s first post – of interest as she is still one of the top 10 posters of the forum.
Skye’s post count currently stands at 2,269. Would be interesting to see where she would now stand on the list of post counts.

I just realized that the guy’s pseudonym is James Richards. James Paul McCartney and Richard Starkey were the two remaining Beatles back in ’09 (and still today). Now the pseudonym could just be built like this as a Beatles reference, but what if this was a project by the 2 Beatles themselves.

I’m not saying the story is real. But what if they were the ones that made the page and mixed the tracks. That isn’t implausible.

Well if someone was going to try to mash up solo Beatles, this would be the way to do it. I like Sick To Death, the instrumental from Devil And The Deep Blue Sea grinding against Gimmie Some Truth as the spine of a new rant about nothing, and Over The Ocean sounds like an actual song. Points for using the more obscure cuts, but sometimes the tonal juxtapositions don’t come off, eg I”m Just Sitting Here almost works. The mashups actually get better as the album progresses, using shorter loops as the basis of the mashup which work much better than the earlier efforts, although Saturday Night gets lost in its own cleverness, and the endless guitar loops are annoying. In the end though, I prefer the use of samples in a more original setting a la Paul’s Boutique or the Grey album.
6/10 with an extra point for production.

William Shears Campbell, vonbonteeI'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

After listening to this album again for my Beatles marathon, I realized I do quite like it. I definitely would take the original solo songs over it, but I think this album kinda has grown on me after about 10 listens.

I haven’t heard this since it first came out. At the time the “cassette” story was all over our local news. Since then someone made a video for Anybody Else, which is kind of catchy.
