I guess that wraps things up. I hope you find something useful. Although a lot of these stories are well known, it’s always interesting to get a contemporary perspective.
I missed out quite a lot of stuff around Northern Songs’ stock market performance and takeover, and some Maharishi/bed-in stories that didn’t seem that essential. What’s most interesting to me is how the newspaper started off being quite detached, barely reporting anything about the group. Mostly the reports were factual and dealing with business matters. Then, around 1967 they seemed to switch a little and became interested in the people who made – and bought – the music.

Just skimming here and there @Joe, but there’s some interesting stuff! I had no idea Liverpool MP’s were so incensed by the MBE backlash that they felt the Beatles needed defending in Parliament! And William Mann’s review of Abbey Road is really quite weird. This new-fangled stereo thing is great, but where’s the lyrics sheet?!

BeatlebugI'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.
