So, one of my girlfriends called me from a payphone outside the Ed Sullivan Theater and told me the boys showed up for rehearsal about ten minutes ago without George! The mystery deepens. What do you think happened? I’ll just die if George isn’t on the show tomorrow!!!parlance
parlance, I’m getting a bit of conflicting information about George going to that rehearsal. What I’m hearing floating around from George’s sister is that George has the flu. She had this to say about going to the rehearsal:
The doctor told me, “OK, but don’t stay there any more than an hour, because you risk him not being able to stand on his feet tomorrow for the live performance.”
Epstein informed Sullivan, and after 60 minutes, George and his sister retreated to the hotel, where she was treating him with all the medicines the doctor had prescribed.
Maybe they went in a separate car and went in a back entrance so that you girlfriend didn’t see them?
There seems to be someone in this group, mja6758, (he made a contribution to this chain letter earlier), who MUST be in the inner circle around The Beatles because he seems to know so many facts. Perhaps he can enlighten us as to whether George went to that rehearsal or not.
Well aren’t you at the hotel, lucky girl? Or are you still eating ice cream?

How in the hell could you just casually pop in and out of their hotel? I’m pretty sure that hotel is TIGHT security.

mean is another word for being tight with money, and is what us Scots are known for.
mister is the title for a man, what i am (some say, some disagree
).
mustard is what you put on hotdogs, burgers etc and gives them a bit of a kick.
Put them all together and you get meanmistermustard. Simple.

I hope The Beatles can win you over. You can still like Elvis, too. I wonder what Elvis thinks about the four lads from Liverpool.
He will love them as they are no threat to the King whatsoever. Elvis will be around throughout the Sixties making great exciting music and films whilst the Beatles will die down in a few months and return to being your normal British group (so unheard of).
As for their recently announced film, nothing can beat Girls Girls Girls. Their film will be just another bunch of songs tacked on to a silly plot, probably a crappy rip-off of Cliff Richard’s Summer Holiday.

Nope, don’t go with his ploy. And if she was a employee at the hotel…why isn’t she working? Oh, right let me guess its her day off. But wouldn’t the hotel need full staff with all this mania?
If she isn’t a young girl, then why was she afraid of getting grounded? You still live with your family? They got that much control over you even as an adult? Surprised that they don’t lock you away.
