I don’t think Ringo particularly likes his post ’74 works, since he got addicted to alchohol, so much so that he didn’t consider himself a drummer who drinks, but a drinker who drums. Entire albums like “Ringo the Fourth” has been removed from Spotify and other streaming services entirely. I mean it wasn’t that bad… if you took enough shots.

Things did turn around after he and his wife went into rehab, and then he founded the All-Starr Band.

Anyway I’m getting free money from my government tommorow, so I could spend it and boost the economy. Why I’m so into helping my economy, I’m buying foreign Beatles books! I’m such a patriotic person. For real, I’m going to be getting “Revolution in the Head” and a photo book, plus some other printed goodies from a second-hand seller. So my post above is pretty much obsolete. I never liked him anyway.

Slight derail.

@CakeMaestor, I used part of my government stimulus money to buy an Aspinal of London handbag. Yep, I boosted the UK economy with USA cash. Well, you know, they keep saying it is a global pandemic, so maybe it follows that we need to boost the economy of our global neighbors too. Yes, that’s what we will go with. Sound good to you?

Haha, true too. It’s not that I’m not supposed to spend governmental money on foreign products (though they have been pushing to support local products), but it’s more like ‘our government don’t really like the West, so it’s like sticking it to them’ in a way.  I don’t think they really hate the West, and rather it’s a way to shore up votes from the anti-West folks., which there are a lot. I don’t like the West in some aspects, but I draw the line at them supporting Hamas.

I’ll send pictures of my book copies once they arive.

I’ve added 3 more Paul LPs to my Collection: Flowers In The Dirt , Chaos And Creation In The Backyard and Memories almost Full.

Missing: Press To Play , Wings London Town and Back To The Egg . All 3 cant be found regulary on Amazon or anywhere. Ill Need to check eBay. Could it be that the ladder didnt get a new release yet? Press To Play didnt get one from what I understand.

I have it digital but I didnt find it in a good condition and/or on Disc yet. I’ve eyed that LP though, I love the versions of Pauls Songs in that film, specially Wanderlust.

Didnt find the movie on BD or DvD eighter yet. I think it wasnt released in that Format eve.

Sneaky mate 😉

I know the film is…not A Hard Days Night but I’ve seen it and I like the musik in it. Specially the Medley is amazingly great and with Ringo at the Drums pure Beatles Magic. I love how they both play together all through the movie 🙂

For having a complete Collection I’d love to get the movie and the music.

Btw: do you guys recommend getting Run Devil Run ? I dont know if I’d consider it a PM LP.

Personally I think it’s alright, not his best for sure, but if you like it it’s fine. I’m not the biggest Paul solo fan so my indifference is probably out of personal bias. You could probably ask someone else. Personally I’d buy “McCartney II ” instead, which I prefer for some reason. “Temporary Secretary ” is a bit of a meme, especially if you go on Reddit.

‘RDR’ is definitely a Paul LP, it’s not that memorable tho. Pretty sure I’ve listened to it thru twice at most as it sounds like Paul going thru the motions.

McCartney II is already in my Collection 🙂 I’m coming up is so amazing <3

Yeah I thought so. Seems like a cover Album with all the classic R’n’R stuff reinterpreted. Not that high on priority to be honest. Thanks anyway you guys!

I forgot. ‘No Other Baby’ is on ‘RDR’ and is one of my favourite Paul songs.

An example of why I find the rest of the album meh is Paul’s cover of ‘Brown Eyed Handsome Man’. It’s ok, coming and going with no real harm but it’s just very much unremarkable or unmemorable, especially when compared to Buddy Holly’s.

Its rather cheap on Amazon.de so I’ve ordered RDR together with Kisses On The Bottom (both 7 € each) and Cloud Nine and Living in the Material Word from George.

I just built up a new shelf for my Beatles Collection. I’ll post as pic later if you guys like to see 🙂

Cloud Nine  is one of George’s great albums, @KyleKartan. Should look out for Volume I by The Traveling Wilburys, if you don’t have it. George, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, and Jeff Lynne. First thing they recorded, Handle with Care, was originally done as a b-side for a European single from Cloud Nine , but they soon arrived at the idea they should do an album.

THX for the tipps! I just started with the George LPs so I’ll dig into this very soon. I really go step by step month per month to not overdo my Budget :).

I chose Cloud Nine as one of my first Harrison Solos because of the fabulous When We Was Fab which is one my favorite Harrison Solo Songs. I love the Sound, the lyrics, the Video. Its just a unique and amazing piece <3

We’ll have to agree to disagree, I think She’s Leaving Home is one of the best tracks they ever did. I understand what you’re saying though, it’s an ipod thing and if I’m flipping through my ipod I won’t stop at many of those songs, but still I feel as a complete album there are only a handful of albums that provide a more magical listening experience than Pepper.

Make sure you listen to the mono version of ‘She’s Leaving Home ‘ It is so much better. The main reason is that it is faster and doesn’t lag.

The 2017 Stereo Remix does that as well.

I don’t usually double post, but I want to post my current collection before these pictures become outdated.  There are some holes, but I’m working on filling them.  This is almost 2 years in the making.  An apple will go to the first who can pick out the CD that is Beatles Bible disapproved.

Look like the Apple and Dark Horse boxes that collect the albums from the respective periods of George’ career.

You can get the ‘Apple Years‘ for only £800 on Amazon, the £1.26 delivery is off-putting. If that is far too much a bargain, one seller is charging £1, 219.99!! ‘The Dark Horse Years’ is £90.24 and no silly delivery costs.
