As usual the time around Christmas/New Years is busy as hell around my work. So I’ve not been on much. Thats not to say I didnt get myself some Fab treats.
First of all there were the Now And Then Releases as well as the Red and Blue Album Release. Got my both Vinyl editions of NAT plus the CD and the CDs of Red & Blue
My then girlfriend now fiancee was in Las Vegas with her Sister and niece because the niece turned 21. As you might know in LV there is the Beatles Love Circe de sole Show including the shop. Here is what my future wife brought me from there:
In my advent calender I got the 2024 Beatles daily Calender which is on my Home Office Desk:
Last but not least: my 37th was New Years Eve and I received something I had my eyes on for a long time: the LEGO Yelllow Submarine, completely sealed and mint. I also got a Happy Birthday Postcard from the german Beatles Museum in Halle Saale:
Here is the Beatles shelf in all its glory
My New Years Eve/Birthday outfit 😀
Hopefully 2024 will be a good year for us, for the world. I hope for some good Beatles/Fab Solo Releases, for each and everyone of you to stay good and healthy and safe and have a great happy year. I hope for Peace and Love for the world. We had enough bad years in the recent past. Please end all those dreadfull conflicts!
Peace and love for all of you awesome people!

You have great additions to your collection, @KyleKartan and it was very kind of the museum in Halle to send you a Birthday postcard. I also loved your outfit.

If I can’t go to Paul, Macca comes to me!!
I got the concert film Paul McCartney in Red Square from 2003 for a bargain: 8 € with shipping for a completely new mint sealed copy. Thats my 4th Macca Live DVD now! Still hoping the Got Back Tour gets a BluRay/4K Disc release…and that he’s visiting Europe and Germany this year.

Something little different today.
They advertised the Yellow Submarine Graphic novel on the official Beatles store. I was blown away as I was not aware something like this existed. So I researched and found out it was released as a 50th anniversary collectible for the movie back in 2018.
Had to track it down and get it. I love comics and have big STAR WARS comic collection. To own an official Beatles Comic sounded just right. Found it on german amazon for 18 € including shipping. A fair price.
Now it arrived and I am happily suprised: its hardcover and sealed! I love it. Released by TITAN, a publisher I also know from various STAR WARS releases. I took some pics for you guys!
Plus I shot a mint sealed copy of Pauls LP Memory almost full as 2 CD Limited Edition set. 11,60 € including shipping. Should arrive soon…

So most of my music collection is digital, and for all of the grief that iTunes and Apple have given me over the years, I will say that iTunes is a very good batch editor and file manager, and the sorting on the iTunes/Apple music app is pretty smart it terms of using both artist and album artist to organize albums under a single artist and keep them from being split apart into separate categories without having to painstaking label every file with the correct tags.
With that being said I am finally done with apple. Too expensive for the amount of storage space I need, and the process of simply adding a single new album to my phone as become impossible due to the insane amout of junk that quickly fills up the (absurdly costly) storage on the iPhone.
So I’ve switched to android and for around 60 extra dollars was able to install a 512gb micro SD for music storage. This allows me to comfortably store all of my albums and bootlegs, including a huge amount of Beatles, Beach Boys , Dylan, Dead, Dan, Phish and Panic that used to force me to make hard choices on what to keep on my phone and what to leave off because once its on the iPhone, there is no easy way to change it. (Trust me I would have figured it out by now after 10 long years of battle against apple products if there was an easier way to do it.)
Additionally Ive been able to redownload many of my favorite albums and shows in lossless because I can afford the space. Really just went and got the pristinely recorded albums from artists like The Beatles, Beach Boys , Michael Jackson, Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, etc, as well as a ton of crisp live recordings from other favorite bands.
Anyway, Im on Android now and using the app Poweramp to play music, and its great because it gives me much more control over how the music is organized and sorted, the downside is you must have every file tagged with all the information that you want sorted, or else it will split up albums by individual song artist, and if an album artist isnt tagged, albums will be filed under “unknown artist” when sorted by album artist. Poweramp is also only capable of editing tags for individual files, so it is unable to do batch edits to assign album artist or year to an entire folder of songs.
So what ive done over the last couple of weeks is gone through every single folder of music with a batch editor and tag it with the correct album artist and year, so now I can sort album artists alphabetically, and then within the album artist category I can sort every album by year. This is how ive always wanted to sort my digital collection, and Ive finally pulled in off, with space for my entire collection and some high quality upgrades to sound as well.

Got me somtehing NICE:
The HELP Deluxe DvD set including some amazing goodies like the orginal shooting script. I already owned the Bluray but after seein an unboxing of this set I had to search for it and get it. Nice set and amazing price: 35 € including shipping for a mint and sealed copy. Bix box and looking amazing on the shelf!
I also found me a mint sealed copy of Beatles 1 from 2000, the first printing with the older mixes of the songs. I already own the 2015 edition with the newer mixes but with 5 € for the CD including shipping I couldnt refuse. Should be here in a few days!

The year 2000 copy of Beatles 1 arrived, sealed and mint and even with the hype sticker attached and intact. Amazing.
What I have my eyes on now is a boxset of the LPs. Its the 1987 wooden box. Ive always wanted that set because it was the first ever Beatles CD set and the mixes are different from the 2009 Stereo and Mono set. I found a mint set! Some CDs are sealed even. Its a bit pricey but worth it. Ill get it next month because this month has been a bit expensive with 2 car check ups and change from winter to summer wheels and so on., so Iarranged a deal with the seller. Cant wait to buy it.
That is the box, you’ll probably know it:

The Star Club recordings circulate for free online in the best most clear sound quality currently possible, almost if not all copies for sale are ripped from these versions meaning paying any money for them is throwing it away.

Like with ‘Hully Gully’, none of these tracks are by or have anything to do with the Beatles (unless ‘Beautiful Girl’ is the 1970’s George track).

@meanmistermustard I bought the CD collection back in 2020 when I was collecting (before I decided just to download from YouTube or something).
The three listed tracks are not (of course!) written by Lennon-McCartney, but were RECORDED, and back then I would snatch ANY track which was attributed to Lennon-McCartney, whether it was Etcetera or “I Shall Be Released” or “I’ve Been Thinking That You Love Me”

Hey you guys! how have you been? Been on vacation (where we got terribly ill with a stomach flew) and busy with work.
I’ve added a little something to my collection:
the Remastered 2CD Gimme Some Truth Edition. Bargain for 12 €. Still thinking about the deluxe set though.
I git me the Bluray of “How I won the War” with John. Also a real bargain, 7,99 €.
PLUS the wooden Box of the Beatles Canon is on its way. Should be here by friday. Cant wait to show it around!

Yeah yeah yeah! My wooden 88 CD box has arrived yesterday! It is in prestine condition, mint and the CDs from Please Please Me up to revolver are still sealed! Sgt Pepper to Past Masters Vol 2 are not sealed but never played!
I have had my eyes on some copies of this box for some time. When this one came up I could not resist! I have not seen a box in this condition and had to get it. It was a little more expensive then I hoped for but got a the shipping for free so it’s ok. Payed 160€ for the box including shipping!
I am proud to say that I own every CD mix of the Fab Four now! Sooo happy proud
