Well…I did it! London Town should be on its way to my Mailbox today. After months and months of searching I finally found a seller on ebay who had it in a good not sealed condition for a reasonable price. 20 € with shipping!
The seller sells a huge bunch of CDs and that one was one of them. He obviously is a collector so I fell good buying from him no matter that the Disc is not sealed.
I am a happy Beatlemaniac. When this Disc arrives on my doorstep I shall have all of the studio LPs of Paul and Wings. Only some stuff missing, like the Firemen.

Ooops I did it again
I won an amazon gift card from my employer. 25 € worth of buyong something. I knew there was a release I didnt have yet and it was like 29 €.
Beatles in Tokyo CD+DVD (limited and hand numbered)
Its a bootleg edition of their concerts in Japan in June/July 1966. It features their gigs from June 30th and July 1st on CD and DvD. Plus it comes with a nice little book inside. My number is 8989. Arrived yesterday
Here is the Tracklist:
1 | Rock ‘N’ Roll Music 1.32 |
2 | She’s A Woman 3.13 |
3 | If I Needed Someone 2.56 |
4 | Day Tripper 3.02 |
5 | Baby’s In Black 2.35 |
6 | I Feel Fine 2.32 |
7 | Yesterday 2.24 |
8 | I Wanna Be Your Man 2.29 |
9 | Nowhere Man 2.24 |
10 | Paperback Writer 2.39 |
11 | I’m Down 2.17 / 1st July 1966 |
12 | Introduction 1.13 |
13 | Rock ‘N’ Roll Music 1.33 |
14 | She’s A Woman 2.49 |
15 | If I Needed Someone 2.50 |
16 | Day Tripper 3.31 |
17 | Baby’s In Black 2.27 |
I am not huge on bootlegs because I am a beliver of official releases. This my third bootleg set I bought, beside those two:
I bought the new edition because the set looks great, the content is historic and I wanted to own the concerts on physical copy :). And with the gift card it was basicly for free

Listend to the YT videos of the 22 remix songs yesterday. They sound very very good IMO!

Some time back I was concerned enough about the rewriting of Beatles masters history that I went on a 1987 cd masters collecting binge and got all 17 cds (the albums plus the Past Masters and the red and the blue). Yet to have Yellow Submarine Songtrack and Beatles Oldies to “complete” it as I consider them to be honorary mentions, but these I consider essential. The Sgt Pepper is the 1987 release with the booklet and the White Album is actually a 1993 repressing but still of the 1987 remaster, I got as close as I could to UK pressings, using discogs. Of the new re-releases themselves what I own is mostly digital although I did get the deluxe Sgt Peppers box, mostly useless since I still don’t own a bluray drive and have never owned a 5.1 sound setup (shocking for a musician isn’t it).

Nice collection! I’ve been considering getting the 1987 remasters too. Worth a try to get them, sometimes they are out on ebay in a nice boxset!
I’ve added 3 things, all Paul:
Paul McCartney – Back in the World Live CD Set (2 Discs)
Paul McCartney – Back in the US DvD
Paul McCartney – Live Kisses Bluray
Cheap on amazon, so I went with it. Should be arrive by Monday.

Not a CD, but it’s not worthy of starting a cassette thread…I found this in a case while cleaning out my parents’ house. I guess it dates back to the late 80s, don’t know if it was mum or dad who bought it. It’s notable for an edited 5:09 version of “Jude”. I’m keeping it, I guess…
I had the odd Beatles compilation cassette back in the day, all long gone of course, often chewed up by a bad player or just died from overuse. A good copy would be quite rare now.

I *think* the only Beatles cassette I ever owned myself was a used $4.00 “Abbey Road “, which I grabbed because my $0.25 vinyl was pretty terrible, lotsa scratches, a couple of skips, plus it made a screeching noise twice during “Golden Slumbers ” – both times following the “darling, don’t you cry-” lyric, which I at first mistakenly thought was an intentional effect the boys left in!
(Note the address of Capitol Records Canada – 3109 American Drive. I worked in an office at 3110, right across the street from Capitol, for several years.)

I’ll sell you my ’87 Beatles remasters. £20 per CD as they are very rare now due to being out of print.
THX the offer but I’ll consider getting in here in germany where shipping isnt that expensive. Thanks anyway.
I am onto getting the JL Anthology Boxset for 30 € plus shipping. Not mint or sealed but in great condition and its a fair price! I’ve been waiting for a set to be offered sealed but to no ammount. So I decided to hit that offer.
Should fill up another gap in my collection. I need a new shelf

The JL Anthology Box has been bought and should be shipped tomorrow. I am missing some Yoko stuff then where John worked with her but beside this I guess I own almost all of the stuff John made.
Ringos Live at the Greek Theatre Bluray and CD has been shipped too. Just new released last week it should be here by tuesday.

My Dad has the 1987 versions of Rubber Soul , Revolver , Sgt Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band, The White Album , Abbey Road and Let It Be . He enjoys their first five albums, Magical Mystery Tour and Yellow Submarine , but those particular albums are his favourites.
