It is here! Yeah Yeah Yeah!
WHAT IS IN THE BOX?! WHAT IS IN THE BOX?!
The Official Beatles Fan Club Happy Christmas Beatle People
And right before its getting christmasy. I saw an add for this edition on Youtube when I scrolled through the Beatles YT Channel some time ago. I was aware of that boxset but I didnt give it that much of thought. Now after filling so many gaps in my collection I researched further and found out what kind of boxset this is and that the records in there were not released commercialy until this boxset when it was released in 2017 as limited edition. I found out that this box is the onliy available source for those records beside the original released records which were sent to fan club members between 1963 and 1969 (plus one complication made in 1970 for the UK and US fanclubs too).
So I started to pursue that collection and it was hard to find. Prices were high on ebay (around 150 to 180 €). I considered not getting this edition because of the amount of content maybe not beeing worth the price. But I again and again checked ebay for offerings and some day last month I got lucky: a fellow german offered the boxset for 112 € mint and sealed. Plus 5 € shipping I had to pay 117 €. I considered it a second and wrote him to hold the item back for me until the beginning of october (september was a little more expensive in regards of stuff I bought and I wanted to give my wallet a rest) and promised I’d pay him then. He said yes and held it back until October 10th. This monday I sent him the money, he shipped the item on tuesday and now its here in my collection. I lucked out again but its important to point out that you have to look and search again and again for the item to get lucky. It was worth the time and work and its worth the money for sure. The boxset is beautiful, bright colors and lovely artwork. and most importantly its a complete set with all christmas recording and infos which came with the orginal releases. I’ll of course keep it mint and sealed
Here is an unboxing vid:

Ok I took some pics of my LIB 50th sets plus the GB book on Sunday before puuting them on my shrine.
Like I said: I got the 1 Disc, 2 Disc and the 6 Disc Deluxe set. I didnt mean to get the one disc set and ordered it by mistake but noticed that LIB is the album I have the least copies of so I kept it.
I love how the LIB cover dominates those releases and gives them this great look.
I also rearragend my shrine a little but i need proper time to really put a good order in with the new releases of the past months. Anyway here it is.
Iam aming for the JL anthology box next.

The collection is looking good!
Thanks a lot! Iam proud of it! Hunting down new items is part of the fun.
Iam big into SW collecting for over 20 years but since covid there isnt much fun in collecting it because stuff isnt released or delayed multiple times a year. Some comics or books get pushed back 3 or 4 times. And when they finally are released they are not available to get shipped to germany (I collect only english literature from SW). I have sometimes 3 orders for one items over different retailers to get the stuff I want. Its annoying to try to get new releases.
With Beatles lots of the stuff I have was already released and now you’re hunting it down. Thats different its fun and satisfying to track down and get older releases. Like I was searching for a “The Capitol Records Volume 2” mint and sealed for months and finally got one. Or the The Mono CD Collection which I searched for months until a good offer came up at ebay.
Iam glad I put up this shelf. My old one wouldnt have had the space to house all of this. I was already putting stuff on the couch for the time beeing and searched for alternative space. but then I decided to get this shelf from IKEA…you cant go wrong with 30 €.

And the white shelf looks very good. It brings out all the colors in the items.

Big thanks
but…
…that was sheer luck and conicidence 😀 I have 3 other shelfs like that in that room and I wanted them to fit together :). But it was fate: It brings out the colors of the releases AND white is some kind of a Beatles Brand color.

No new additions to the collection beside the new book from Sir Macca: The Lyrics. Lucky me preordered it for under 50 € so I got it for that price when it was sold for 70 € on release date.
John Lennon Antholgy is hard to find mint. I found a box sealed but it looks dirty on the pics. I need to get more info on that one.

I use to own the cds that came out in 2009, but I don’t listen to cds that much and I think I lost them (misplace) during my divorce or many moves after my divorce. I moved like 2 times before my final move to where I live now, so a lot of stuff fell through the cracks along the way. I did make sure to grab my record collection and record player which the ex wasn’t thrilled about the player going, but I paid for it! Anyways, my collection has grown since being with my fiance because not only did buy me more albums, but we basically have double copies of some of the albums. My favorite part is have a different copy of the album like the British vs American. We have a German one and one..from another country I can’t remember. We have few singles and collection of the Christmas fan club album. We have a few of Pauls’s Wings, John’s solo, and one Georges. No Ringo yet. His favorite is the Two Virgins record complete in cellophane and brown bag. I like it for the novlity of it than the actual noise itself. My favorite records I own are my original White Album and Abbey Road . I have the Anthology, Yellow Sub, Magical Mystery, 1, Eight Days A Week , Living In Material World, and Good Ole Fredia. I use to have Nowhere Boy, Across The Universe , a few other docs, Help , I Wanna Hold Your Hand, and The Beatles Ed Sullivan, but again stuff got lost in the cracks. I own a picture book, Beatles astrology book, Paul McCartney when he turned 70, and a music cords book I think for guitars which neither my fiance or know how to play a guitar, but a guy at the flee market threw it in with the Beatles Christmas album for free, so. I use to own the Fifth Beatle book, the Monopoly game, and glass ware. We own a few posters, magazines, and picture.

Iam sorry that you’ve lost so much but sounds good on what you have! Maybe you can post some pics! I’d love to see your records 🙂
Nothing new for me so far. Pauls The Lyrics has arrived in prestine condition. Past weeks have been expensive with some insurance and repairs of the girlfriend car so I needed to slow down abit.
