Another band that sounds remarkably like the Beatles — I don’t know if they are obscure (they’re obscure to me…) — is “Apples in Stereo”.
P.S.: My friend turned me on to them tonight. I noticed something and realized that most of these bands that sound Beatlesish tend to sound more “Lennonish” than they do “McCartneyish” — to the extent that one can separate those two vectors out.

Somebody posted this video on my Facebook page this morning, under the headline “Rare, unreleased Beatles recording.” It’s not; but a quick internet search has come up empty, and it’s not worth spending any more time looking for the identity of this vaguely Beatle-y band. Maybe somebody here knows.

From the moment I clicked on the “new” posts thingy just to see the two new posts in this topic, to the moment my computer stopped being frozen up with that maddening blue ball spinning and me being unable to do anything else (and not wanting to leave my computer to go do something “real” in case at any random instant this site would begin behaving normally), was 6 minutes.
Now I’m not in the mood to post.

Who puts these descriptions up on youtube, doesn’t sound anything like the Beatles. The vocalist sounds very very familiar but can’t think who.
Reminds me of Scottish band The Marmalade around 1970. They who had had an earlier UK No. 1 with Ob-La-Di. This was their big hit in 1970. Sounds like the previous could be them to me.

As in the melody only. I don’t mean songs that have, for example, ‘Yellow Submarine ‘ in their lyrics. I mean songs by artists who aren’t The Beatles that sound like the tune of a Beatles song
I have 2 so far:
Lily Allen – Not fair (Chorus)
Sounds like Yellow Submarine (Chorus)
Adele – Rolling In The Deep (Verse)
Sounds like Lady Madonna (Chorus)
What about yours?

FYI I moved the posts from ”songs that sound like Beatles songs” to here. This is pretty much the same topic.

Sorry I wasn’t very clear when I made the post
My post was about Songs that actually represent real Beatles tunes
Whilst I think this post is more along the lines of songs that The Beatles could have made
It’s understandable if you can’t move it back though

For weeks I’ve been trying like mad to track down a song that had a definitive Beatles sound, with slightly distorted guitars and dirty John Lennon sounding vocals. The last verse of the song is “until the end”, and another verse is either “heard you cry” or “made you cry”. I heard this song at the gym within a mix of newer songs, so I assume this song is relatively new as well. And since I was at the gym I did not have my cell phone with me, hence no SoundHound. Does anybody have any idea what this song could be? It was absolutely fantastic, and I would greatly appreciate any help tracking it down.
Cheers!

No idea but i’m happy to throw songs out.
Doing a google search with the lyrics you mentioned brought up Adam Gontier and Until The End . I’m not expecting it to be correct in any way so don’t get your hopes up. You’ve probably done a google search. Maybe i should leave.
