If another Sgt. Pepper ‘s album was compiled from past Beatles songs, what would they be? Personally, I’d say I’m The Greatest and the Carnival Of Light , but I can’t think of any others…
Rules:
*Must be a Beatles or solo song
*It can’t be on Sgt. Pepper ‘s already
*Should probably be psychedelic, from the era, and/or contribute to the Sgt. Pepper lore

To be honest, I don’t understand exactly what you mean. Wouldn’t the American version of Magical Mystery Tour and the original tracks on Yellow Submarine be Sgt. Pepper 2?
I'm Necko. I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.
I'm also ewe2 on weekends.
Most likely to post things that make you go hmm... 2015, 2016, 2017.

Sort of. But not really. I mean a real Sgt. Pepper , with specific songs listed in a certain way to make a Sgt. Pepper ‘s 2. And it should be Sgt. Pepper -related, not something that just sounds like it (besides, MMT has its own sound anyways). Just think of something like “The Black Album” but for Sgt. Pepper .

Sorry but i’m not understanding what is being sought here. ‘The Black Album’ was outtakes and such from the ‘Get Back ‘ sessions and i’m not sure how that relates to a Pepper volume 2.

I’m talking about fan “Black Album”s where they get the solo work and turn it into an album. This would be the same, but in a Peppery style, and would include work from before the breakup.

Oh, I already did in the topic post. I’m the Greatest and the Carnival Of Light . Maybe Mean Mister Mustard as well, because it has a condiment in the name, like Sgt. Pepper ? Anyways, this is supposed to be collaborative. No one should suggest the whole thing, just random songs. And we all discuss what’s suggested that doesn’t work and what’s suggested that does work. Other stuff could be thought of as well. (This is mainly supposed to be a fun game, I guess.)

…this hasn’t been replied to at all… I guess I’ll list more songs to help others give a sense of my little idea, and maybe a premise as well.
The premise is that Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band has disbanded for a while, most likely due to the death of Sgt. Pepper and other reasons. In this album, they got back together, making new music and also releasing previously unreleased songs. Due to the newfound experimental nature of Dennis O’Bell, many songs are more experimental than on their last album.
Track listing (so far, you guys add on):
I’m The Greatest
Mean Mr. Mustard
Carnival Of Light
Strawberry Fields Forever
Penny Lane
Yellow Submarine
Only A Northern Song
You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)

I think I understand. Make a compliation album of post-Pepper songs (Beatles as a group or solo) that sound psychadelic.

Yeah. Or pre-Pepper, too. Even post-Beatles! Just something like that. Then we all can add our song suggestions together!

Hmm… I chose I’m The Greatest due to the mentioning of Billy Shears. It also has the Sgt. Pepper -like crowd sound effects, so that’s why I chose it.
Mean Mr. Mustard isn’t good enough, I agree. I think I only did it because of the condiment in the name. I’ll remove MMM from the next time I put up a list with songs suggested by others.

“How Do You Sleep?” borrows Pepper’s orchestral tune-up, and has swirly strings just like “Within You Without You “, so that might fit.
“You Know My Name” kinda presents Pepper’s band trying five increasingly-ridiculous variations on the same inane little pop ditty. A real winner! I’d include that.
“Picasso’s Last Words” and “1985” have similarly Pepperish production touches. (What a band that Sgt. had!)

Okay, listened to them. ABSOLUTELY How Do You Sleep. Sgt. Pepper sorta DID take me by surprise there. It also has that really psychedelic feel to it… It’s like the Lucy in the Sky for this.
1985 – Not feeling it. Only Pepper-ish thing I hear is the Pepper drum beat and the 64-esque “Oooh-oooh-ooh.” The synthesizer is probably the biggest no-no.
Picasso – Maybe. I think this is better than 1985.
