I found this listed on a bootleg album from bootlegzone.com a few weeks back (unfortunately I can’t remember what album was on) and it’s been bothering me ever since. It’s quite a beautiful song indeed.

I think it’s said to be a group called ‘White Trash’ but my memory is awful. Although it’s on a number of Beatles bootlegs (I first heard it on ‘Anthology Plus’ in the 90’s) it’s certainly not them.
It is a great song tho.

You’re sort of right. It could be from the Apple Records band White Trash (later known simply as Trash). Another band that it has been suggested that it might be is the other Apple Records band Mortimer. It’s not clear who it is exactly. Whoever it is, it’s not an officially released song.
I'm Necko. I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.
I'm also ewe2 on weekends.

While on topic, I think The Beatles Wikia article I linked below the video might have gotten some of the lyrics wrong. IMO:
“I know I could belong” sounds like “I know I could be wrong”
“Let me bow” sounds like “Take me now” or “Baby, now”.
“The scene further than I’ve been” could be “You’ve seen further than I’ve been…”
