Good afternoon. Thanks for reading this post.
Had a “discussion” with a friend about how many Beatle songs there are without Guitar.
I came up with 3. Elanor Rigby, She’s Leaving Home and Goodnight.
We originally thought Within You Without You but did discover that George did double some of the sitar parts on guitar.
Are there any more?
Thanks!

For No One , Good Day Sunshine , Blue Jay Way , Only A Northern Song , Don’t Pass Me By , The Inner Light , Golden Slumbers also don’t have guitar in them although all of them that i mentioned except for The Inner Light have bass guitar in them.

What were the names of the spiders George and Paul killed? The video is blocked on my school computer and I may never know.

What spiders? What video??…
Anyway, i was wondering about that scene in Backbeat where John and Stu get into a fight with a couple (maybe more) of sailors and they beat Stu’s head… did that ever happen? If so, what pub was it? Is that pub still alive?

Maybe some variation from the actual circumstances? According to Colin Unwin, there was a fight after the Beatles had played at the Litherland Town Hall, Seaforth; Stu was attacked by a “gang of teddyboys”, then John Lennon and Pete Best jumped in to help Stu:

Jimmy and Jemima were the two spiders encountered during Paul and George’s hitchhiking trip to Harlech in north Wales.

The Stones wasn’t until 11 December 1968, so it couldn’t be that, @Shamrock Womlbs. It’s probably from the Revolution promo film shoot.

It’s great to see that video again. Yeah, it seems very likely that the picture from the collage comes from that video shoot since the mic seen in the picture is the same as the ones they are using in the Revolution video. The thing misleading me was the psychedelic blue light … Maybe they did different takes with different lightings? Or is it just a filter applied to the picture?…

There was more than one “performance” of R that day, and there is more than one promo film. It should also be noted that there was more than one stills photographer present to capture the events of the day, who could have used filters, and if you look behind Ringo on John’s side of the stage, there is a “blue” light panel:

Where was this John’s picture taken?i’ve always thought It is from the Rolling Stones rockandroll circus…
Isn’t that seen at the end of the ‘Anthology’ edit of the ‘Revolution ‘ clip where they no doubt used previously unseen moments?

Apologies if these questions have been answered before or are common Beatles knowledge. Anyway, I’ve decided to write a fictionalised account of Beatlemania (covering Summer 1962 – February 1964) which will probably never see the light of day. Incidentally, it’s based on a novel by a man named Lear.
1. When did Pete Best find out his mum was having an affair with Neil, and what was his reaction?
2. I’ve read that Cynthia found out she was pregnant on the same day she received some exam results. When would this have been, and how long did it give them to arrange a wedding?
3. When was Mal employed as part of the Beatles?

For the Mal Evans question: https://www.beatlesbible.com/p…..mal-evans/ (he joined them full-time in 1963; some sites date his start date full-time with the Beatles as 11 August 1963)

Does anyone know where I can find a list of all the Beatles songs each member wasn’t present on? I know Ringo isn’t on Dear Prudence and Back In The USSR for instance, and John isn’t on Here Comes The Sun .
Thanks.

While I don’t know for certain, @Dark Overlord, I would imagine it would have been a combination of the two – largely masters of each song sent in batches across to America as they were prepared to let them go through to Revolver and then, with the 1967 contract taking effect, which forbade Capitol from making albums that varied from the UK release without permission, from Pepper on they would have got complete albums.
Another reason for suspecting they largely got complete albums from Pepper onwards is that Pepper marks the point at which they started using crossfades between songs and removing rills to have songs butting up against each other without the silences.
It’s certainly known that with Pepper Capitol got a copy of the album master, as the reason the Capitol Pepper was missing the Inner Groove was that that last little touch to the album was conceived just after the Capitol copy had been dispatched, meaning it wasn’t on the master that Capitol got.
