I know The Beatles were all excited about hearing themselves on the radio when they came to America the first time.
Are there any stories or interviews of any of The Beatles talking about hearing their music on the radio from, say, 1967 onward? Or of hearing another of the Beatles solo songs during their solo careers?

Not quite sure where else to put this, but I have seen a lot of references to bootleg albums. I was wondering what bootlegs really were I guess and if it’s worth it to get any!
Bootlegs are collections of material that is legally unavailable. They can consist, in the case of The Beatles, of studio outtakes, live concerts, BBC radio recordings, home demos, TV appearances …
The Anthology and BBC discs barely scratch the surface of the many delights that are out there…

Depends if you want to delve into the world of demo’s, concert/TV/BBC recordings, studio outtakes etc. Best suggestion if unsure is listen to the three ‘Anthology’ albums and see what you think, all are available to stream if you have such access. ‘Anthology 1 ‘ may be a little hard going due to the nature of the material but stick with it and the sound quality improves drastically (plus Apple ditched the stupid speech segments – probably got as fed up as the rest of us).
In my opinion, it’s definitely worth it.

Beatles bootlegs are very worth it. There is so much content out there that can elighten and delight you. While owning and listening to bootlegs doesn’t inherently make you more of a fan, had I not gotten into them I would not be as big a fan as I am today.

There is a good amount of material that appears on bootlegs that can be checked out for free on YouTube to see how much it interests you. I listened to a lot of the Twickenham and Kinfauns material on YouTube prior to actually laying out any cash for it. That might be a good place to start.

If you have to drop cash to get a collection started, it is worth it, but once you own some, there are plenty of sites online where you can learn about and trade bootlegs for free.

There is no reason on earth to pay for bootlegged material and if you do you are being ripped off. A little time spent online will uncover a ton of safe places to download material for free. Be careful and sensible and you should be fine. Most of the bootlegs to be hunted down are compiled by fans for fans to be shared for free, not to be sold to profit those who end up copying such sets and then releasing them.
Hunt down releases from such names as Lord Reith, Hobnail, Helter Skelter , Purple Chick (tho many of their releases have been significantly upgraded over the years), HMC, Misterclaudel, MasterJedi for easier gathering of material as the underground market is a bottomless chasm of releases and rip-offs that could easily send you loopy trying to figure out if one complete ‘Please Please Me ‘ sessions set is better than the 67,986 others that circulate.
For Paul’s solo career look for any and all of the ‘Ultimate Archive’ releases which were out last year (VooDoo Records). They are everything the official sets should have been/be and only highlight how bad and embarrassing a job Paul’s have been.

Not to mention that it’s unethical because the people making money had nothing to do with making the music.

You could argue that downloading material for free that is in copyright and belongs to the artists which they don’t get subsequently paid for is also unethical.
I’d argue that if Apple had the guts and sense they’d get delving into the archives and start releasing them in some format so we wouldn’t have to and we would pay for it (if priced sensibly). Fans want to buy it but cannot so go elsewhere. Instead we get shitty merchandise that no one really gives a crap about and endless reissues in whatever format they pick out of the hat that sits in the middle of their meeting desk beside the red pen (for scoring thru the weekly list of what not to release) and the plates of fancy biscuits.
But we got ‘Eight Days A Week ‘. I’m still trembling and need a change of clothes from getting that.
[Since I started I feel like continuing. Apple annoy the hell out of me.]
Anyone who can type can find all seven Christmas messages within around 5 minutes to download for free. It’s therefore basic common sense for Apple to get them together from the master tapes and release them in November 2017 with one or two bonuses to tempt the stubborn “oh, I have them already and they sound great” fans as well. But for whatever reason (probably don’t to pay royalties to whoever) Apple will sit on their arses bitching to themselves that they are freely on the webbie thing and it’s so unfair. However what’s just as infuriating is that if Apple did decide to put them up they would find some new imaginative way to balls it up due to awful packaging or editing the messages as there is too much Yoko in 1968 and 1969 or some other pathetic reason. Look at the colossal disappointment ‘Live At The Hollywood Bowl’ was; no imagination, ghastly cheap packaging and no attempt to be comprehensive. So we are screwed either way. Apple don’t release and I moan, Apple do release and I moan.

So Eight Days A Week didn’t have as much new info as Tune In, or any real new info at all… I still enjoyed the film and the concert very much. It had high production quality and had many moments that made me feel immense joy and pride.

Depends on what you want and expect from Apple. I went, watched the film and enjoyed it but it didn’t come close to what they said it was going to be.
It started out as an ambitious project to document the Beatles touring years thru unseen or very rare footage and ended up as the Anthology series edited down with added celebs for the newbies who need famous people popping up to make it watchable. Take it as what it is and it’s ok (Shea at the end made it), remember what it was going to be and it was a disappointment. That’s my point. Like being tempted with the idea of a 5-star meal and then getting a nice cheese/vegan burger.
And for everyone who didn’t get to the cinema they don’t get the Shea concert; instead they get 5 complete concert clips as bonuses, one of which has been needlessly colourised.

I thought this was the all purpose questions thread for a second and was confused why you don’t know your own shoe size.
Sadly I do not know the Beatles’s sizes.

Shoes are for losers and I don’t think The Beatles would wear half sizes, nor that Paul McCartney would wear shoes, nor that The Beatles all share the same shoe size.
Maybe you should try posting more.
