The big nasty racism that we should all fear grows out of the tolerance of the low-level jibes and criticisms that use race as their basis.
It also grows by taking something that isn’t about race and making it about race. Then people become more hyperaware of race (or ethnicity) which can lead to racist actions in the hopes of avoiding racism.
How where the Beatles relationships with their parents?

^I’m on the chapter in Tune In about The Beatles ditching their jobs and school to go off to Scotland. Their relationships with their parents at that time was really, really rocky.

Is Give Peace A Chance technically a Beatles song because it’s credited to Lennon/McCartney.

Just because a song is credited to Lennon/McCartney doesn’t make it a Beatles song. There are songs by Cilla Black, Peter and Gordon, Billy J Kramer and the Dakotas, etc. all credited to Lennon/McCartney, but they’re not ‘Beatles songs’ unless they’re performed by and released under the name of the Beatles…
… technically.
Though if you want to get practical, not technical, it’s really a Lennon song, and was released as such (despite the songwriting credit).

Sure, A Beatles song is a non-cover done by all four Beatles. Case Closed, your welcome.

So, who’s playing the acoustic guitar and piano parts credited to Paul, along with doing his backing vocals for him?

For the backing vocals, it sounds like a session choir (possibly the Mike Sammes Singers, who were used on I Am The Walrus ), although it is possible that Paul and George’s backing vocals are drowned in there somewhere. As for the acoustic guitar and piano, John does the acoustic guitar and I don’t hear a piano.

I think if it’s released under “The Beatles”, and it involves the 4 lads, it’s a Beatles song.
Sidenote:
I wonder if Ringo could be diagonally considered a Beatles album since all Beatles participated in it.

Was Billy Preston considered a member of The Beatles during the Let It Be sessions or was he just a session musician who was on almost every single track, similar to Jason White with Green Day.

Admittedly, levels and use of vary between the different mixes of what is essentially the same recording, two acoustic guitars are credited, John and Paul, on the 4th February, and then on the 8th, an organ part played by GM was tried along with mellotron from John. It was decided that didn’t work and was taped over with John’s tone-pedal guitar, George on maracas and Paul on piano.
The final overdub on this original version was to wipe some drums and bass that had been overdubbed on the 4th, replacing them with harmonised backing vocals from John, Paul and George.

You’d have just as good of a chance considering John Lennon /Plastic Ono Band and Imagine Beatles albums.

Did Paul participate on either of those? I don’t think he did but if he did then I suppose those could be as much of Beatles albums as Ringo.

Paul’s guitar/piano part could’ve been wiped but still is barely audible via bleedthrough. This is somewhat common, believe it or not. Three notable examples are George’s lead guitar in I’m So Tired , John’s rhythm guitar in Old Brown Shoe (slips in during the instrumental verse leading up to the guitar solo), and Ringo’s guide cymbal in Because (best heard using the isolated vocal tracks via The Beatles Rock Band multitracks).
