I’m not sure on the above.
Which Beatle had the fastest growing hair, like how quick did they each grow their mustaches ?

Did Mimi ever visit John in New York? Did she ever meet Sean? Did she have any contact with John’s kids after John’s death? And why could John go to Japan and visit Yoko’s family but he couldn’t go back to England to visit his family?
I’ve never heard it mentioned that Mimi visited John New York but he would phone her fairly regularly. Not sure about the kids but I doubt it. I never thought about the fact John visited other countries i.e Japan and I think also South Africa. I always assumed he didn’t visit England because he was worried about being allowed re-entry to the U.S. So that is a very good question.
I think the most hirsute Beatle was Paul …because have you seen his arms?

I have some questions regarding the A Day In The Life video. Do we know who produced and edited it? I really like the other-wordly feel they achieved.
Also two more questions. There are some clips of children around 1:20 mark. Do we know whose children they were? Then just afterwards at about 1:25 it looks like some female fans being ejected by Neil Aspinall. Was this staged to coincide with the line “A crowd of people turned away”. Or were these fans really thrown out? It looks real and they look distressed.

Ok
Ringo – 9 Madryn Street in the Dingle area of Liverpool.
John – Liverpool Maternity Hospital, Oxford Street, Liverpool, (hospital is taken down)
Paul – Liverpool Walton Hospital
George – in a tiny ‘two up, two down’ house on Arnold Grove, a cul-de-sac in the Wavertree area of Liverpool.
Now that this thread is up, we could all check on some other unanswered questions when any one has the time.

I’m afraid I could only give an A-, SS?. It’s a very good bit of research, but there is a mistake. Liverpool Maternity Hospital, while no longer a hospital, the building was certainly not “taken down”. It is now used as student accommodation for Liverpool University students, with a plaque commemorating the most famous birth the hospital ever saw.
Both AG and I have pictures of ourselves stood next to the plaque.
Here is the former Liverpool Maternity Hospital as it is today:
And here is the commemorative plaque that AG and I posed by:
However, Walton Hospital, where Paul was born, has since been torn down.
There is something to consider though. Questions are always great. I love them. I like pulling together the rusting threads of my knowledge. However, it is sometimes frustrating to find questions asked that @Joe has gone to great lengths and spent many years to answer.
The main site answers many questions with great insight. Questions that excite me, they’re the ones where I’m stretched, and the answers aren’t easily found in the main site. THe main site and the forum are two sides of the same coin. Both should be used.

They hadn’t finished recording it in the studio and it hadn’t yet been released or scheduled for release. They first recorded it in Paris in late January 1964 (29th) (Paul wrote it in Paris), an edit of takes 1 and 2 is on ‘Anthology 1 ‘, before they completed overdubs in the EMI studios back in London on the 25th February. Their debut performance on the Ed Sullivan Show was on the 9th February 1964.

The Beatles hated the shortening of their live sets that came with fame. John would say in later years that it helped destroy them as musicians. It wasn’t just the screaming, and not being heard, but the plastering on of the fake smiles while they ploughed through the same thirty minutes of s***e night after night. The Beatles touring years coincided with the last years of the package tour though. By the second half of the decade acts would start to tour alone, with maybe one or two support acts. This allowed for a longer set by the headliner. Dylan was one of the first acts to tour in a way that we would recognise now, performing eighty/ninety minute sets nightly. The Beatles always had another half-dozen acts on the bill though. If you’ve got three hours stage time available, and so many acts to give a slot to, even the headliner would get quite a short slot.
True. Saw them Sept 13, 1964. Package show included Clarence “The Frogman” Henry, Bill Black’s Combo, Jackie Deshannon, The Exciters. The Lads came out, did their songs and it was over. No encore. My ears rang all night from the screams. I can’t imagine how they did that almost daily for 4-5 yrs.

@Joe Picture isn’t actually mine. Just one I grabbed quick off this interwebby thing. AG does have one that’s slightly clipped you could use, or else we can grab one done with the site in mind for you while we’re in Liverpool. It’s somewhere we plan on going back to, probably on Sunday as that seems a good day to visit the place of his birth.

@Ron Nasty If you’re going back, then please do get me a photo. But don’t go out of your way – there are many more interesting places to visit in Liverpool than an old hospital building!

@Joe, we are going there on John’s birthday. Seems appropriate. We can get get a picture of the plaque again with the top and bottom edges in the picture.
Or, you could have a picture with my smiling mug right by the plaque. LOL! The plaque is complete.
Here’s the one I took last year that is a bit clipped at the top and bottom.

Something about this story doesn’t seem right to me. When was the last time The Beatles (or at least Ringo and John) were ever in The Cavern? What am I missing?
Picture on the back of the Ringo painting
The article says
It hung on the walls of the original Cavern for years.
But for the past three decades and more, this framed painting of Ringo Starr has lain forgotten at the bottom of a drawer at the home of Hal Morris.
Now the former club cleaner has rediscovered the picture, which was drawn by artist Pete Williams in the club itself.
And he’s in talks with The Beatles Story to put it on display for Fab Four fans to see.
Hal, from Ainsdale, explains: “I understand Ringo sat for Pete Williams in the Cavern, and John Lennon was sitting next to him.
That’s not the look John and Ringo had during their Cavern days. Am I reading the story wrong?

The drawing is based on this picture:
Which is from the Let It Be sessions.
I have no clue why or how the drawing came to be associated with the Cavern.

Joe forgot about Billy. I know he’s technically not a Beatle, but he was the main pianist during the Get Back sessions and was even called back to play on some songs for Abbey Road and if you’re going to have an article mentioning the birth of Ringo’s ex-wife, then I think that Billy should get a page.
Maybe you should try posting more.
