From now on, we should all try and put them into our essays somehow. Today we had to do a text response on a book called Mao's Last Dancer, and one of the essay topics was about how determination and working hard can help you reach your goal, no matter what the circumstances, and I mentioned something about how he seized the opportunity when it came up. I used them as an example of that (it wasn't really that similar, but I don't care, ahaha).

If anyone has any essays coming up (unless it's a really important one), try and put them in (and post where you put them in)

I'm still wondering how you managed to get that finished without a cheat sheet…

And The Beatles were the last thing on my mind when I was doing that, I started again about 3 times, and changed topic twice…

Everything I write has The Beatles or a Beatle reference in it, it makes an essay into a fun time writing.

When I Twish And Shout, it makes the Girl say "What Goes On?", and than I say, "I do this Here, There and Everywhere", and than she finishes by saying "Honey Don't".

In my English class we had to write a story, and I made up a story about a cat named Lucy Lennon.a-hard-days-night-paul-11

Retarded, but wadever. Everyone liked it, even my teacher.

Last year in English I wrote a story about a boy named Paul who fakes sick from school, and then calls up his friends John, George and Richard to join him. They go to Strawberry Fields, the nearby park, and Sgt. Pepper 's Lonely Hearts Club Band are performing in a gazebo. They end up going to Mr. Kite's circus, and a bunch of other Beatle reference packed things happen, and then they realise what time it is, and Paul rushes home as fast as he can, racing his parent's car. It wasn't until after I was done that I realised I had completely ripped off the plot of Ferris Bueller… a-hard-days-night-ringo-12

Since most of your teachers are probably Beatles fans, that is a stroke of genius! a-hard-days-night-ringo-15

Virtually gaurantees a passing grade. Wish I thought of that when I was in school.

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I actually put the Beatles into an essay I had to complete for an Honors English application… the prompt was “Do You Want Fame?” and I somehow found a way to incorporate the Beatles into it. I ended up rambling on about the Beatles for about two pages; and now I'm in honors English! a-hard-days-night-john-6

I'm in love, but I'm lazy.

Over this school year I wrote a giant store for my reading class about how the Beatles preformed for the Queen.  Another was when I wrote a story about a girl who was ( sorry for this but Raped) and these three young boys with guitars helped her get to her help.  ( this was spose to represent John, Paul, and George when they played at the Cavern)

Actually that's what my students do.

In an exam I ask “What's your favorite band?” all of my students answered “They're the Beatles”.  They all got an extra point for that.

(I teach English as a Second Language, that's why the questions might look kind of silly for you. In Basic English we ask questions like “What's your middle name?” or “What's your best friend like?”)

While taking a Dale Carnegie class, I did a speech about growing up listening to The Beatles.

I was even nominated for an award.

For some of our English work for school, we have to make a newspaper (not an actual one, just with a few pages in it), with articles and stuff like that. One of my articles is about Heather Mills being bashed on the head by a giant silver hammer by a guy named Maxwell Edison.

This is going to be fun. 😀

I did a persuasive essay as to why The Beatles deserve to be called the greatest band ever.   I got an A.

In 6th grade I put, and I'm paraphrasing here, ” I'm shure I looked very foolish standing up on that hill.” But nobody got it because I was, and still am, the sole Beatles fan.a-hard-days-night-paul-11

Not an esssay but this week I had to teach my students different ways to say Hello and Good-bye.

As a warm up I showed them a Rock Band video that a player uploaded with the lyrics and the harmonies and I invited my students to sing. Nobody wanted. I thought “Poor kids, this is going to be a long semester for them”

Now next week I'm giong to show them Barbie Girl by Aqua to review Present of Be and I'm going to make them sing “I'm a Barbie girl… in a Barbie world..”  *making evil teacher's voice* blue-meanie

Preparatoria first semester and third semester, in 3 and 2 years these kids will go to college. And I teach English as a Foreign Language, so we have to teach them that when someone tells you “Have a good evening” you must respond “Thank you. You too”. Very basic stuff. I'm known in my school as “the teacher who is totally nuts about the Beatles”
