What a great forum!
What an understatement! 😉
You know what would be the most amazing thing ever? If Paul or Ringo ever visited the forum. I mean there’s virtually no chance of that ever happening but that would be so cool.
Hey, they could be any of us and we’d never know….
Sorry for the derail continuation, Beatlebug, I love your Egypt Station drawing, too! The idea of arriving there is so fun.

The ‘You’ve arrived at Egypt Station’ part is also a reference to the chorus of this song by Muse (warning: contains one little swear word and a whole lot of Tokyo weirdness):

Meant to post this several days back but, much overdue, Here It ‘Tis —
1) Harrisonic Gardens are wandered through, Harrisonically, accompanied by ukuleles and indignant gnomes (ft. Percy, Mel, and Wizard-friend-at-large)
2) Cameo from the Artist & Wizard-friend in Traditional Vietnamese Dress
3) the SINGING ZER0ES! Inspired by 60’s pop-rock and the Bowie song, which was inspired by ’60s rock/pop. Some of those fellows are somewhat based on Fab Threeatles of which you may know, and others are just vaguely ’60s figures.
4) George looks out of the Window, Window musingly
Here our lads and lasses of Syncopated Myschief dwell in the Fantastic Realm named for an Edible Seed from the species Piper nigrum

It’s beautiful, I love it.
as always
In addition, I am experiencing a deep sense of appreciation in relation to your subtle use of Ducreuxian language

It did occur to me that thou might be so inclined to look favourably upon that particular linguistic reference
For posterity/organisation’s sake, the Georgemas drawings that I did which were posted elsewhere:

Wow, those colour drawings are amazing, @Beatlebug! I think The Singing Zer0es (you could also call them The Swinging Zer0es if you wanted to go even more 60s with it) would be a good basis for you to write a Ducreuxian language novel about or illustrate a full length comic strip for! Hope I’ve given you an idea there.

a WHOLE NOVEL in Ducreuxian language? What a terrifying thought that would take forever
(that said, if anybody writes one, I’d very much like to read it 😉 )

This is the first time I’ve ever seen this thread, looks like I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. Excuse me while I delve into 22 pages of this

I liked that one too but I really liked the one of George playing his Rickenbacker way back on the first page. @Beatlebug , I know this is a long shot since the pist was 4 years ago, but do you by any chance have the original image you sketched it from saved?

I liked the Rickenbacker one too. George seems so peaceful in it. I would love to see the reference picture if you have it.

Thanks! That was definitely one of the better early ones.
I’ve kept all the photos I’ve hoarded electronically over the years in an ever-growing Google Drive folder but, as a matter of fact, that one in particular was an image from the CD booklet of the A Hard Day’s Night 2009 remaster, which I didn’t have a digital copy of but I can scan it for you (it was about time I did, anyway):

but not like that, of course.

I used to wear lipstick and eyeliner on occasion when I was in my teens and 20s.
I think it’s unfair that women can wear anything but that if I were to wear a dress people would assume I’m gay.

^I feel the same way. I quite like to draw blokes in dresses just for the sake of fashion. You’d be surprised how masculine a ‘dress’ can be, if you do it right — garments similar to what we call dresses were traditional men’s dress in many places throughout history.
