Love the new drawings, the George one especially. Looks like you resolved the issue of having to capture his gaze correctly to make it look like him by drawing him not looking at the viewer, because that looks great!

It didn’t take very long at all. I was determined to prove that I could capture George’s wonderfully direct stare. (I owe a great deal to the photo I used.)
And as many, many photos of the Beatles (not to mention AHDN ) have taught me, monochrome is magic. 🙂

Offline Very nice drawings. The Penny Lane one was quite touching, a fond tip of the hat.
The George portrait was very Georgey, and the one with the guitar is noteworthy. The John portrait brings out his “Marlon Brando” side (I believe he once said he feels torn between being a tough guy, like Marlon Brando, or being a more sensitive intellectual, like Wally Cox; I think this tension sort of lessened as the later years unfolded and he settled more into his sensitive side).
I’d like to second the person who suggested you tackle Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds !

Offline Is just me or are your Paul drawings a bit more “come alive”? I didn’t catch if you’re a Paul fan or not. Don’t get me wrong, the others are good too; yet there’s an extra je ne sais quoi about the Paul ones…
The main thing I get from your drawings is so much love for the Beatles, keeping that flame alive — it’s great!
