I like to think it is now; when I first created the thread, on the other hand…
Anyway, I drew this last night. (RP)

Not trying to sound mean but that drawing is off because in the picture Paul is about 22-23 whereas he should look like he’s 64 or at the very least look like he did when he recorded and released the song.

The drawing isn’t off. It’s based on this photo:
As you can see, it’s from 1963, so Paul would’ve been about 20 or 21.
(Okay, the drawing probably is off in some way, but you’re not to compare them too closely. )

You actually couldn’t have captured Ringo more accurately in the first drawing! That is incredible!
I’m definitely not saying the other drawing isn’t great, it is spectacular as always. You’re Getting Better all the time at being an artist. You really should be an artist. Has anyone told you that before?

Wow. You should be a professional artist with these.

In honour of this momentous occasion, I have decided to grace you all with THIS
… a recording of the very first Beatles song I ever attempted to play: ‘Here, There And Everywhere ‘!
(I’ve gotten better since I first tried to play it, and check out my sweet Strat tones too )
I am at the mercy of you good Forumpudlians to decide whether or not this is my finest post since sliced bread, or at least good enough to pass muster (mustard? On bread? Okay, I probably just spoiled my chances with that atrocious pun).

Am I even allowed to say something if the poll is ought to decide about the greatness of your post?
Nevermind- I love your cover! Without exaggerating or trying to be polite, it’s soooo good! Your voice perfectly fits the atmosphere because it sounds so warm and the way you sang the song was somehow so intimate – wow, that sounds embarrassing but it’s simply true. I can’t assess your guitar skills as a layperson, though it sounded fine to me, but your singing really touched me, there’s something special about it. Awesome job!
Anyway, you can’t beat sliced bread; I’m sorry!

Beatlebug, GardeningOctopusNot once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. Erlewine on Sgt Pepper's

Not that bad for a first take, although I would recommend using overdubs so you can have both guitar parts playing at the same time.
That was not the first take. I took at least half a dozen complete takes, and too many false starts to count.

The poll is merely to decide the greatness of the post. You are welcome to comment on exactly how it is great — I assure you my ego doesn’t mind in the slightest!

You quite make my day! That is high praise indeed. I wasn’t doing anything complicated on the guitar, by the way — it’s not one of my showing-off-my-axe-skills songs, but it suits my voice. I mean, I know I can carry a tune decently, but I sing because I can’t help it and I enjoy it.

Fantastic cover, and congratulations on 10000, @Beatlebug!
I love your singing gives the impression that it was incredibly easy to sing it! Fantastic all round, and I think the levels of the guitar vs vocals is perfect!

It is easy — for me That song is just within my comfortable range.
And I’m glad you think so. I did about half a dozen soundchecks, as getting the levels right is something I struggle with.
