I drew this yesterday for George, as per my anniversaries/birthdays ritual.I was originally planning to make it all philosophical, but it ended up as a straight portrait.
My idea was something along these lines (see spoiler)… I’m not sure if what I did was cool or just silly (though, considering my reputation, the latter wouldn’t be that bad).
This one was a test, just to get used to the thing. I might elaborate on this idea later, with a different image.
This was more like my original vision: he was supposed to be Stuck Inside A Cloud, although it ended up that he merged with the Rising Sun — which is rather better, actually. A happy accident.
@WeepingAtlasCedars, now you don’t have to wait till dawn to find Georgie in the rising sun. [/ashortenedspoiler]
Heheheh, I suppose I don’t! I can have him anytime now.
I’ve a few other Beatles things in the works which you shall hopefully see soon…

I was trying out a cartoon style which I first used on Pink Floyd (whom I scribble about way too much, Roger’s nose is just too fun to draw).
Love those, SG! Now you’ve got two bands to use in comics.

That’s a super awesome and creative piece, SG! I really love it! It’s quite funny, I actually listened to a Revolver and a half yesterday.

What is Revolver and a half, I really want to know.
I listened to the full Revolver album on vinyl yesterday, and later that day planned to listen to it again. However, I only got to the end of side one because I was going somewhere and didn’t have time to play the second side.
Therefore, I listened to a Revolver and a half.

Great! I wouldn’t mind jamming on a guitar or uke (even a sitar ) at Friar Park myself. I’ve decided to do my own version of the Hard Day’s Meme thing, but I will post it in my thread later.

I have a ukulele from Hawaii that belonged to my grandmother. It’s perpetually out of tune and I use it to compose spontaneous atonal pieces.

That’s a great drawing of a Beatles ukefest! BTW, I got cases for my ukes so they’re safe for travelling and keeping not damp or hot.

Thank you very much, @Beatlebug!I may not be great, but I’m able to strumble out something sounding a tiny bit musical. And mine is a Beatles uke!
Here are 2 questions that I must ask:
1. Do you own an actual guitar or is this it
2. Do you use a Ukulele tuning or do you do what I do and tune to E standard (AKA E-A-D-G)
Nice Uke.
Maybe you should try posting more.

Super awesome, SG! The later/longer moptop period just so happens to be my favourite Beatles period as well! There was plenty of fringe to go around then.

It’s a Beatle birthday, so you know what that means…
I did something a bit different this time round. Instead of a usual portrait, which I didn’t much fancy as I’ve only done 30,000 or so of George by this point I did an imagery piece inspired by one of my most favourite, most atmospheric Harrisongs (as well as the place that inspired it) — ‘Ballad Of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let It Roll)’.
Alsoa whilst I’m here, my previous George-artworks previously posted to Fiendish Thingies (I am sticking them here for posterity)
I have a major fascination with enigmatically misty and magical gardens, as you can see.

Awesome as always, SG! I love the effect on the trees in the background, it makes them look so lifelike as they go farther back and get fainter.
