Hello you wonderfully fab people, I am a very very new member to the forum so I don’t know if I’m allowed to create a topic yet but I just really wanted to share my Beatles-inspired artwork as it is a passion of mine and I love seeing other people’s work! I thought this was a good drawing to start off with as it’s a personal favourite of mine and what I think is my best work to date.

My sweet lord, that is BEAUTIFUL. It’s so realistic and it captures George perfectly. If you don’t mind, I would love to know how you did it. I look forward to seeing more!

Why thank you!! I basically used a reference picture, then sketched it out just using pencil then went in with coloured pencils and layered up the skin tone, hair colour etc. I’m not going to lie, it did take a while, several days!

Just wanted to post another drawing of mine, I also do drawings on my iPad with my Apple Pencil not just paper and I’ve been loving it recently! Hope you like this one! (Sorry for the watermark, it’s just there so people don’t steal my drawings on instagram!) (And thank you to those who are being so supportive of me opening a new topic I really appreciate it!) Enjoy John and Paul

I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Good lord, these drawings look to be at a professional level. Are you self taught?

Yes, great work there! Interesting, comparing the two mediums.
Next you have to do Ringo, in a third medium!
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Wow, very impressive @paulmcsassy! Welcome to the Unofficial Beatles Bible Art Club
The first one you posted was excellent — I believe I’ve attempted that image before and it’s not an easy angle to depict. John and Paul were lovely, and reminded me very strongly of Fiona Fu’s artwork. Keep up the good work!
