Hi everyone. I’m Jason and part of a new Beatles podcast called Nothing Is Real.
Last November myself and my friend Steven won the Beatle Brain Of Ireland quiz at the annual Beatles Festival. Drunk with the abundant possibilities of such a win, with my cousin behind the boards, we decided to start this podcast.
The show is fortnightly, on Wednesdays, and for each one we are taking one specific topic and going into it in detail. Our first two episodes are up, looking at the Help ! and Magical Mystery Tour albums. Our next episode is out in June 12th and will look at the last Beatles session on Jan 3-4th 1970.
Other podcast points:
– It’s from Dublin, Ireland.
– It’s recorded in a proper studio
– The theme tune is *short*
I’d love it if you could have a listen, subscribe and see what you think of the upcoming episodes. If you like it, maybe give us a shout out on the forum’s podcast thread. Thanking you!

I’m time poor, but I would probably enjoy doing a podcast talking about The Beatles and various other things. It’d be a ratings winner. Ha, no it wouldn’t. But I’m sure it would be interesting.

my friends and i are planning to make a podcast because our conversations get so funny/weird/interesting. if the conversation that ended with me saying “dinosaurs are just thicc chickens!” was taped we’d all be famous by now.

I’d have a grade B podcast. I’d talk Beatles, Batman, and Baseball my three obsessions

The ‘Nothing is real’ podcast is good, and the two Lewisohn episodes are a brilliant marketing scoop… and it gives insight in Mark Lewisohn’s state of mind… he seems a bit grumpy, right? He comes across as feeling misunderstood. Hope he can keep up the energy, and the sharpness and grow beyond the sentences that have been repeated enough now. e.g. “I know I am good at this job”, etc.
.
The Beatles are about ‘truth’… being true to who they were… quite a statement/judgement… and Mark Lewisohn ‘I am trying to write the book… as the ultimate of compliments …’ and he is grieved it is not recognised by ‘them’.
.
Said ‘enough’… Mark deserves the money and the facilitation to create this biography. It is so cool.

I’m a hunter of footnotes. If I’m interested in a particular topic, I can disappear down a rathole of sources.
