The medley is good. A few of the transitions are a bit sharp but nothing off-putting and some really bits like “all the children sing” cutting to MMT and the crashing ADITL piano chord matching up with footage of Ringo and Paul.
The Clapton/Boston cover i liked. Sounds like you need to be a more confident in your singing as its in no way bad, I’ve heard far far worse on records that top the charts or get heavily praised on those Talent shows.
I look forward to hearing more of your work, tho at least mention it here as i dont have a youtube account so cant subscribe.
That’s definately true!
I do just have to get more comfortable with my singing, but just finally posting something with vocals has helped my confidence already. I will, of course, continue posting here as I know not everyone has a YouTube account and I love getting feedback from the Forumpudlians, so you can expect to see this thread popping back up soon enough.

Here is a video with the solos only. If you guys like it and want me to do a full cover, please tell me! I don’t have time to finish now, but wanted to put the solos up. I’m not sure how I feel about them, but tell me what you all think!

I just finished a cover of Oh Yoko! and will post that as soon as I stick it in a video.
I’m curious, should I cross-post it to Beatles or Non-Beatles covers? John was a Beatle, but it’s not a song by the band.
Warning: it contains singing.

Impressive! I have trouble playing solos because it’s quite a bit to remember sometimes :P. My own “solos” are usually just a bunch of quick hammer-ons and power chords played at random. Maybe I’ll record myself playing guitar (I have, actually, maybe I’ll post it from my phone tomorrow.) That’s why I’d be a rhythm guitarist rather than lead, and probably vocals as well, because I wouldn’t be satisfied with just playing chords all the time. I may record some singing or something some time, but like you, I’m not that confident in my singing. I have quite a thin voice and… a decent range, I suppose. But I majorly digress.
I think a full cover would be nice. I haven’t seen the videos where you sing yet, but if you aren’t confident in your vocal abilities… that song doesn’t have much in the way of vocals except for two lines of lyrics and a BUNCH of “looove you”s.
If you're lonely (or not!), you can talk to me. .....Hey! Are you a new member on this fine forum and don't know where to go to introduce yourself?
Well, you can do it here! Dig it?

@Bulldog Thank you! I’m a much better rhythm player, but trying to get my lead to the same level. I’d love to hear some of your playing, so please post away! The only thing keeping me from doing a full cover would be that the drums are very important in that song, and I have no drums! I might steal Ringo off of the Rock Band files, but it doesn’t feel the same.
And theres one of me singing a Boston song I mixed with a Clapton song on the last page if you’re interested. Oh Yoko! will be up in five minutes and I’m singing there…
Brace yourselves!

Pretty nice, again. The guitar was totally on-point, and your voice is not bad at all. That song fits it pretty well. I’ve never been a huge fan of that song, personally, but of all the songs on Imagine it’s probably the easiest to cover. No orchestra or any kind of weird instrumentation (which is used on almost every other song, I think). So yeah, I liked it.

Thanks a lot, @Bulldog! It was definitely a nice one to cover, didn’t have to get my dobro or Tibetan cymbals out!

I went to a Beatles Tribute concert last night, and here are some clips. There are some people near me talking in some of them, but most of them are good. The video’s not that great, but the audio’s fine.

Ha, no problem (responding to the end.)
Good job with the video, but what happened with Nowhere Man ? Did someone really use that much of the song’s lyrics? Referring to 6:41 in the video.

@Bulldog, didn’t see this post! I noticed that, I must’ve forgot to delete the beginning that I cut off of the correct part. Ironically, I think that was your lyric.

X-posted from Your Beatles Covers
Haven’t done a cover in a while! After reading through the Lady Madonna song thread I decided to cover that!
(Even the little bit at the end of the video @meanmistermustard posted of an early take)
Please tell me what you think!
Oh and there’s a little rudimentary animation I made a while ago in the beginning, and a fake album name that I will totally use if I ever have a real album. Mr. Kite’s Being For My Benefit.
Enjoy!
Edit: sorry I mentioned you twice, mmm. I just copied and pasted.
