Offline The thing that irks me about my drawing is that I haven’t really reached a point where I have a consistent style. Like, other artists have a consistent style that is emulated through all their drawings, whereas I just start to draw what I want to draw and it just comes out looking like whatever– I guess that means I’m still just experimenting with my art to try to find what works best, but idk. Maybe I just need to draw more often? It’s tough.
Anyhoo, here’s a Paulie– been experimenting with larger eyes and playing with the inked lines and stuff.
This drawing perfectly encapsulates my point– it doesn’t look like any of my other Paul’s, it just sort of…came out a different way.

Offline I disagree; I could always recognize your drawings as both who they’re meant to be depicting and being yours from a mile away, even though you do different things in different styles. I’d say that’s a strength. Don’t worry too much about it; this exploration is good, and I do think you need to draw more, so eventually you’ll be able to refine your command of different styles into using whichever one in a way that best serves whatever you’re trying to get across.
Does that make any sense? I hope that made sense.

Offline Gave Paul a friend– it looks…. okay, didn’t come out exactly like how I wanted but eh. Drawing profiles is actually hell and I can’t stand it– it should just be illegal for your face to turn sideways.
Also used a different pen for John than I did Paul and I definitely like the pen I used for Paul better.

Offline Ahhh drawings that go smush into each other, I know her well 
I do love a nice dramatic profile, but it is more for dramatic/illustrative purposes than actually a thing. When does anyone ever turn their face perfectly sideways? If you made it illegal, hardly anyone would be arrested unless they were posing.
